12 string dreadnought. Made in Korea. 1992.Solid spruce top, mahogany back, sides, and neck. Rosewood fretboard and bridge. 14 fret. Double fret markers on the 7th fret.

Sound : 9
Bright, jangly 12 string sound. Excellent mid-range, deep full sounding bass. I mainly play classic rock from the 60's and 70's. Fits right in with the "Roger McQuinn" sound and folk-style music.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
It was over ten years old when I bought it. It didn't have any flaws on it. The finish was still clear and glossy. The strings have fairly low action. No fret buzz, or loose frets. Is a little difficult doing barre chords. But with enough practice it can be done quite well.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I haven't played a gig in decades, but I'm sure it would prove itself worthy. The finish still looks like it's new. A couple of tuners were loose at first, but I tightened them up once and they are holding strong.

Customer Support : No Opinion
This model wasn't being made anymore when I bought it. But I haven't had a reason to contact the company.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing, off and on since 1972. This is the only 12 string I've bought, so far. The only other Fender that I've owned was a 1963 Fender Strat USA. I do own a Gibson SG, and now an Alvarez AD-70s. I did try many other 12 strings before I bought this one. Some felt head/neck heavy, or wasn't as easy to play as this one was. There were a couple that did play a bit easier. But for the extra $1000 or so, they weren't worth it to me. If someone would steal it, I wouldn't be able to replace it, because they aren't made anymore. But I would try to find one with similar sound, and maybe easier fretting.

I bought it used 3 years ago. It was made in 1992. Solid spruce top, laminated mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood bridge and fretboard. Made in Korea. 14 fret neck. Dreadnought body.

Sound : 8
Not much to dislike about the sound. Has bright ringing trebles, somewhat muffled bass, and clear sounding mid-range. Fits in well for the 'Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young sound. Of course the thickness of pick you are using has a lot to do with the richness of the sound too.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
This is about the only spot where the guitar could use some improvement. The strings are rather high off the fretboard, even after milling the bridge down as far as we could take it. Making barre chords a bit difficult to do. But with enough practice, you can learn to deal with it's temperament.
The finish on it is quite excellent! Glossy spruce and mahogany.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I haven't played at a gig for 31 years. But if I still gig'd, I would trust it completely. The only flaw in it's finish was caused by one of my dogs knocking it down on the floor, putting a small nick in it's neck. Trying to make the best of it, I use it as a 4th fret marker. That is the only defect in it's finish.

Never had to deal with the Fender company about it.

I've been playing since 1972. I also own a Gibson SG, and an Alvarez AD70S.
If it were stolen from me, I probably would look around and try others. Not that this isn't so good, but they aren't made anymore.
I love the sound to it. And truthfully, the only thing I don't like is the strings are a bit far (for me) from the fretboard. Making barre chords trickier to do.
I have tried new guitars before I bought this used one. But with most of them, the handling wasn't really any better. I did try an Alvarez 12 string that did handle very well, but felt funny to me. The neck felt heavier than the body. This one is well balanced that way.
