Sound

This guitar have a quite balanced and a deep rich tone, excelent playablity all across fretboard, making beautiful fingering nuances.
Having a long scale will easier allow lowered tunings with that
good old seasoned Gibson round tones.
Best of all it doesnt have any dead spots, like a few described as high quality acoustics i know...
It sounds so gorgeous and creamy, you can enjoy play or hear it for hours.
Action, Fit, & Finish

It have the perfect action for me: 2mm on 6 string at the 12 fret.
The rosewood bridge is large and properly routed with plenty space to work if desired, the bone saddle is fixed and have a perfect intonation.
Only flaw is a middle line crack on top, but is properly repaired, quite common on these vintage guitars, never affected the sound, on the other hand the woods are stable forever.
Neck never reseted after 40 years, still straight so it will keep.
I had it newly refretted.
Is a fabulous chord fingerpicker and always nice when strummed, from light to hard.

I have 19 years of guitar experience.
What i like the most on the J50 is the balanced and the mahogany deepness with a rich matured tone, thats why i bought it.
