Only 65 of these amazing beauties were hand-made by Ren Ferguson himself. I own Lucky Number 13. His signature is on the decal inside the body. He selected the finest woods for this limited run. The tone woods give the guitar crisp mids and highs, and an
unusually detailed bottom end. It's light and highly resonant, well-balanced and features an LR Baggs acoustic pickup
that is well hidden on the inside, and has a tiny volume wheel just inside the sound hole. There's not much more I can
say about it... Gibson doesn't make a wide range of limited acoustics, but this one made in Bozeman, MT, is about as
perfect as you can make a classic guitar design. There are no issues. It's a superb instrument for uncompromised tone and feel.

The tone woods give the guitar crisp mids and highs, and an
unusually detailed bottom end. It's light and highly resonant, well-balanced. Great for alternate tunings, great for really strumming the hell out of it, and soft fingerpicking is very dynamic. I'm a heavy strummer, and like powerful sounds, this one has the tone. (Think Zakk Wylde's Book of Shadows Album, or Tea Party's Spendor Solis Album)

No issues at all. In terms of workmanship. Unfrickin'believably amazing. You can see the passion in this guitar.
In terms of action, all guitars are set from the factory at a "standard". Get a good tech to set it up to suit your needs and you will never ever be dissapointed. This goes for ALL guitars, whether it be a entry level guitar or a custom shop instrument. Have it set-up by a pro.

Strap buttons and jack could be a bit more durable. I use Planet Waves cables and found because of their size, they loosened the jack a bit. Works well with standard cables like the one it came with quite well. Everything feels solid otherwise.

I have dealt with Gibson before. They are good. The restoration shop is fantastic. Keep in mind they are EXTREMELY busy!! But they do get back to youasap. Customer Service is their number 1 priority. I have even met the craftsmen and people. They are top notch. I'm still in amazement at what they can do with just their hands.

I've been playing 20 years and hands down this is one of the most gorgeous tones I have ever heard. Once it was set up to my liking, it blows everything out of the water. I traded in my Taylor for it. I was looking for a more natural and dark tone with just enough mids and highs (I'm very picky) and this one did the job. Like with all guitars you really have to play each one and listen to your ear and tap into how it feels in your hands to decide if it's the sound in your head. NEVER SETTLE! It took a very long time for me to find THE be all and end all Acoustic. Thanks Ren for building this tone machine.'Nuff said that should say it all.

This is a high end acoustic. The build quality and material / parts, is second to none. The top is a great piece of lively wood and must be treated as such.

giant bottom end, crisp highs and mids. I was originally considering a Taylor, however, when I spotted this acoustic I just couldn't turn it down. It sounded so much better than the taylor acoustics I played (granted they sounded amazing). The first thing I noticed was that the bottom end was absolutely heart stopping. I bought it instantly. when I got home to record with it for the first time I was in total shock, it sounded absolutely amazing. the volume control on the inside of the sound hole needs to be set just right, however, when recording or else it will be way too loud. I have yet to use it plugged into a P.A. or Acoustic amp, I just go by how it sounds through my 32 track and when I play it on my back deck.

seems to be flawless. There are no odd spots on the binding, the back of the acoustic is solid and strong. the sunburst finish looks beautiful. the action is perfect. The guitar was set up in store, however, I have purchased 5 other Gibson's that came straight out of the box with a perfect set up. The laquer on the body itself (not the neck) easily gathers sweat, so if you are lucky enough to own this guitar... keep a polish kit handy.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I have owned the guitar for 5 months, I record a lot so I don't have much of an opinion on Live Show durability. Each review that you read either sais that "I'd never gig without a backup" or "I gig without a back up all the time" or "it's solid as a tank"... no matter what review you read... the person who is writting it is biased because they own the guitar. This guitar was in my price range... I bought it along with a Gibson Flying V (Classic White) and a PRS Standard 22 with Bird Inlays... I'm glad to say I spent 7,800.00 in one shot (makes me happy to say that). I don't have much of an opinion on what anyone else would say about this guitar, but, honest truth... I love this guitar to death and I probably won't buy another acoustic for another 3 or 4 years... even so I would only do so if it was another limited edition Gibson or Taylor.

haven't dealt with them. the guys at Musicstop are great, however, I still haven't received the certificate of authenticity yet... which sucks a little.

I've been playing for 13 years. I've owned what many would consider "way too many" guitars. I currently own 8 Gibsons (2 V's, 2 Explorers, 1 Firebird, 1 Les Paul, 1 Sg standard, and this), 1 PRS Standard 22 with bird inlays, 1 ESP LTD Truckster, 1 Fender Milonga Stratocaster, 1 greg bennet corsair 5 string bass, and I'm going to be purchasing a fender Jaguar shortly. I don't really plan on purchasing another acoustic in the near future, if I did it would be another Gibson or a taylor. I'm primarily an electric player, but this acoustic pushed me into playing acoustic much more than I used to. There's only one minute thing I would add to the guitar, the case... I wish it had "Gibson Custom" on the case... that's it!!
