I purchased a mint condition Goodall Crossover Nylon String guitar over Ebay for about $3,300. The street price new is between $5,500 and $5,800. It has East Indian Rosewood back and sides, Port Orford Cedar top, a 25.5-inch neck length and a 1-7/8 width at the nut. It has Gotoh tuners.
There is a B-Band factory installed pickup system with hidden blend and volume knobs. This system has two pickups. One under the saddle, and one attached to the bridge plate.

This is perfect for what I was looking for, a crossover guitar. My background is classical guitar, and I own a fantastic Bernabe Concierto for that. I have drifted almost exclusively over the past year or so to fingerstyle bossa nova and jazz, and the set up for this guitar is well suited for that. It would be even more ideal for a steel string player looking to move over to nylon because of the narrower neck and lower action.
The sound is full and rumbling on the basses, without being booming, and clear and crisp on the trebles. The clarity and separation heard for each note is what really sets this apart from other guitars I've played.
This is what I was looking for but I must emphasize that this is not for the pure classical guitar player, and my ratings are for a crossover guitar. The volume is excellent but still a bit less than a comparably priced classical. That said, the sound is strong acoustically, and drop-dead gorgeous plugged in.

Beautiful, high-quality workmanship befitting a Goodall.
The action is another strong point, which immeditately increased my playing speed compared to my Bernabe.

I've been playing off and on, mainly off, for 30 years. This is a solid, beautiful guitar, and its strongest points are the sound, separation, playability and workmanship. It has increased my practice time because it's addicting to play. If lost or stolen, I would buy this guitar again, though I would seek, as I did this time, a used model for the substantial savings.
