This is a Goodall Concert Jumbo with a cutaway: Some of the key specifications are: fifteen and seven eighths lower bout, four and three eighths deep, overall length of forty and thirteen sixteenths, nut width of one and three quarters and scale length of twenty five and one half. Back and sides are solid mahogany, top is AAA Adirondack spruce, ebony fingerboard and bridge with rosewood binding on the body, neck and headstock with a striped ebony headstock overlay. 20 frets, with 14 to the body. Abalone inlay for a simple rosette and the Goodall flying ???G??? logo on the headstock. Chrome Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony knobs and an element iBeam pickup installed. Also came with a great Cedar Creek Case. When I write it all down like that it sounds like a lot but this guitar has a wonderful simple and beautiful appearance.

Sound : 10
I have had a few nice guitars: Huss and Dalton DS, Martin D-28, Martin OM-18V, Martin OM-28m Laurence Juber, Gibson J-45, Collings OM-2h (still have), Santa Cruz OM/PW all mahogany (twice) ??? and this Goodall has the sound that I find the most pleasing tone of any of them. It???s warm with great base but also sparkles when you want it to. It is just an amazing guitar. It does blues, seventies singer-song writer stuff, rock anthems and just about anything I ask of it and just sounds wonderful. It can sound airy and light, then bring in the base and it has a really pleasing presence. If you hadn???t noticed I kind of like this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Factory set-up on this guitar was good, I had the pickup installed and that raised it a bit. I haven???t gone back to have it adjusted, thought I would wait and let it settle in for a couple months before I think about dong anything else. The finish on the guitar is very nice, gloss on the body and front of the headstock with a satin or low gloss on the neck. Materials are also very nice. This is the nicest mahogany I have ever seen, just beautiful. The top is AAA Adirondack which is also sweet. I cannot find something I could call a flaw on the entire guitar ??? and I am very picky! It is a sight to behold, very simple and very nice.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Although this is superbly made instrument and uses the best of materials it is also a light guitar. I don???t gig except for an occasional thing at church, and it goes to my lesson each week and my monthly circle is at my place so it doesn???t travel much. I think if I keep this thing humidified and in the case when not in use and play the heck out of it, it would last several lifetimes. But it couldn???t be abused.

I have never had it repaired. It has a five year warrenty. The only dealing I have with Goodall was that when I was shopping for my guitar I knew I wanted a Concert Jumbo from Goodall, but all the ones I was seeing out there were rosewood. I wrote Goodall an email asking if the did make a mahogany concert jumbo but I never heard back. I subsequently found one online at Harry???s Guitar Shop in NC ??? HIGHLY recommend Harry???s, ask for Greg!

I have been playing for about thirty years but only got serious about it two years ago. I would replace this guitar if it was lost or stolen. There isn???t anything I don???t like about this guitar. I wanted to buy my ultimate guitar, the one I would never sell, the one I would be buried with and this is it. It is just a joy and really, really cool. Goodall does amazing work and I highly recommend them. What got me hooked on Goodalls was when I happened to play a Grand Concert size with rosewood back and sides and cedar top and the fit, finish, feel and tone were just phenomenal! Thank for reading, hope it helps.
