Features : 10
Nice gloss finish semi round shoulder dread with clear pickguard. All solid woods. Spruce top, Indian back and sides with koa binding, ebony board and bridge. Has 25-1/2" scale and was made in 1987 signed by James and originally sold at McCabes in Santa Monica, has sticker inside to that effect.

Sound : 10
Well this is definitely an eleven. Huge sound, extremely well balanced and responds to chording picking equally well. I traded what I thought was the best sounding Martin guitar on the planet in on this. I can't say enough about the sound of this guitar. Goodall's are not overrated.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Although this one is showing the years, it has held up extremely well. Goodalls's are just about perfect in every way. I've seen a lot of goodalls over the years and every one of them was virtually perfect in fit and finish, truly a beautiful guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This baby is a very well built, extremely solid guitar that will outlast me or anybody else.

Customer Support : 10
I imagine Goodall is like the Maytag repairman when it comes to warranty issues. These are way, way too well built to require warranty work, the owner would have to have sone something to the guitar to get into this area. Really. I have contacted Goodall about the history of this guitar and they were very responsive.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing way too long to be this bad but I can get a lot of compliments that are due more to my guitar than to my playing. In my mind this is the ultimate guitar for everything. The only reason anyone would want another main guitar is just to have something different (like a new woman). I fell in love with this thing even before I took it down from the wall. Goodalls have the most understated elegance of any guitar line I have ever seen and I have seen them all. Truly a wonder of craftmanship and sound!! I wish I could give a rating of eleven for all of the categories.
