i have owned thir guitar for 15+ years now. It cost me $375.00 new. I really love this guitar. I own a ES335 (1979), Les Paul, Asst other Guilds. 12 strings etc... but this is the one guitar I will never sell. I put it in the same catagory as many high end guitars,,,,I know I've played them and played along....most like my Guild just fine.

Its a beautiful 1979 American Guild, 20 frets. It has a rosewood neck, but what i love most about this guitar is its mahogany construction...which looks incredible, but more importantly gives it an incredible deep tone. Being almost 22 years old, the finish has lost its luster and the guitar has picked up a couple dings, but these only add to the guitars character. It has a bridge pickup, i dont know if thats original. No on board equalizer. The case was included and looks very well traveled, but it has obviously done its job! Great guitar...but its not the features that make it great.

I play everything from bon jovi to cake, and so far this guitar has kept up with me. the mahogany construction give it an incredible mellow and deep tone...which i prefer immensely over some newer acoustics which tend to be have an incredibly bright tone. I havent gotten it to buzz...even when playing the upper frets.

the action is pretty low...but like i said before not so low that it would cause the strings to buzz. I havent noticed any flaws in the construction. For a guitar a year older than me it has aged fairly well! the finish has lost its shine over time, but i think that adds to the guitars appeal.

This guitar still has the original tuners, bridge, frets, bracings, etc. and it still plays like a gem. I definately depend on it as my first guitar during gigs, but ill bring my backup just because i like to be safe.

Being that im upgrading from an alvarez copy, this guitar is smooth as butta. Granted, we are not talking about a guitar that has the versatility or sound of something in the Taylor range...but it has a great sound and is very playable. Perfect for backporch playing with your boys. You pay for what you get, but i feel like i got a whole lot more than a mid-range acoustic.

This an all American Guild! It has 20 frets and is made of dark rosewood. I bought this guitar brand new about 9 years ago and I value this guitar more than any other guitar (electric or acoustic) that I have ever known, and I can say that being that I just sold my Les Paul Standard. However, this is a very simple acoustic, with great components, so I will not give a rsting in this category.

This guitar perfectly suits my sytle. I play everything from metal, folk, jazz, blues, and new age. The guitar has a wonderful warm sound. It is greatto play with your fingers or a pick and fits well in to any acoustic setting. I even wrote the body of many metal songs using this guitar. The dark wood make the high E blend in perfectly with the rest of the strings. Other acoustics sometimes have this high E blaring with respect to the other strings, but it is not a problem with this guitar.

Set up perfectly. I have never once had to reset the action or send it back. This included many yers of using different tunings which could put stress on the neck. The guitar has perfect action.

I have been playing for about 14 years.
If this guitar was stolen I would replce it with the same model, no need to upgrade at all.
