Paid around $700 new. Bought in 1994. US made, satin finish. Grover tuners. Mahogony Sides and neck. Looks like cedar top but may be spruce. Dreadnought style.
Sound

Wonderful sound. Resonant and balanced when strumming. Seems to get better with age. I have played many guitars in the $2000 range that don't sound this resonant. I bit muddy sound when fingerpicking but not unpleasant. Just a personal preference for a brighter sound.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action was alittle high for me but I replaced saddle and nut with bone and had the action adjusted. Perfect now. Construction is excellent, over ten years in varying climates and this baby still looks and plays like new.
Reliability/Durability

Very reliable. I am not hard on my guitars but this one has withstood 10 years of constant use and is no worse for the wear. Would feel very confident gigging without backup.

Been playing on and off for about 20 years. Have an Alavarez Jumbo, Ovation Balladeer, and this Guild. If it were stolen I would be disappointed but would probably take the insurance money and buy a brighter sounding guitar.
