This is a jumbo dreadnought made in the mid 60's that I bought from a pawn shop at Beale and Main in Memphis, TN in the summer of 1974 for $75.00. Made in the USA. It has no label of marking of any type inside the guitar. Solid mahogany back and sides, solid spruce top with rosewood fret board, medium frets. Mahogany neck. The guitar came with tuners that were 3 together on each side of the headstock. Tortus shell pickguard. No electronics. Has a wider fretboard than you find on most guitars, making it a great guitar for blues and bending notes. This guitar was made to be played on Beale Street.

This guitar was known at the time as the "poor man's Martin" . The tone is rich and full, nice deep bass, clear trebles and a nice robust full volume.

For the period it was made, it was a very well crafted guitar. Mine is now over 40 years old and the shine is still very good. The wood is solid and construction is very solid for a guitar that is about 40 years old.

After nearly 40 years, it is still going strong. I replaced the stock tuners with some Grovers about 35 years ago. This is a great guitar for flat picking and blues, It is solid. You don't have to baby this guitar at all.

I have been playing since 1971. This is the second guitar I ever bought, and the first "good" one I bought. It replaced an old Kay that I gave to my brother in law. I currently have 10 guitars, 5 acoustic (76 Guild D25DPG, an Arbor Martin copy, a Fender 12 string, A Washburn Cumberland,& Harmony H-1260), and 5 electrics (Harmony LP copy, Washburn WI66PRO, Washburn CS780, a home made LP clone "Frankenpaul", and a Yamaha BRX250 bass. I play through a Digitech GNX3 to a 76 Fender SF Super Reverb, or a Kustom KMA65. Lots of other stuff.
If this were stolen I would hunt the SOB down and castrate him. Another one of these would be hard to find, so I would probably turn the $$ into something else.
