"Contessa" classical guitar made in Japan imported by Hohner. Cedar top, mahogany back and sides. Appears to be a solid top and laminated sides and back. It is a one piece back. The interior of the sides appears to be maple. This gives a very crisp and a little louder sound. It is surpisingly nice. I would date the guitar to the early '70's. I wish I could find some info. on who made the guitar. Email me if your have any info. Thanks!!!!

Again, the sound is bright and crisp. The bass is clean and rich without being boomy or muddy. The highs are very strong and come out well.

The nut was broken when I got the guitar. That was replaced along with the crummy tuners. The result is a very nice playing classical. The action is low.

Great sounding guitar. If you see one, pick it up. They are cheap. I would replace it if stolen or otherwise gone.
