Hohner HW-90LH Acoustic

2003 model made China Solid Sitka SPruce top Ovangkol back and sides not sure may be solid. Neck not sure what wood, Rosewood fingerboard, nice fret inlays. Dreadnaught gloss finish is thick but seems not to impare sound. Good tuners! Medium frets pretty well done

GREAT sound! For this money $199 on ebay new it can't be touched. I had a Larrivee OM03 LH and got tired of how it sounded, this guitar believe me sounds really "real" alot of character. not a sweet as the OM_03 but more interesting. Clear strong sound, nice bass! Can't say if finger style would like it strumming with pick it sounds great. For the money a 10 compared to a OM03 a 10!

Action very well set up, nice medium low action again about as low as any factory guitar can get. maybe 4/64" at the bass side 12th fret that's pretty darn good! The wood seems very nice, decent top has grain wackiness but still it's sounds fine! Ovangkol wood is really pretty sounds full. Make no mistake this guitar has lots of crazy flaws, finish flaws, the back was not even cut straight! the back seam is not in the right place, it's off!!! But who cares! the sound is there, Hardware is good quality again for the money it's nuts

Looks like it was made in a factory in many ways, this is where the $800 larrivee is so much better made BUT the $800 price did not bring as nice a sound. I would tend to think this Hohner will last, but of course glue joints and necks on a cheap guitar may not who knows? My guess is it will last even at $199.00

Play nylon string more than steel, I have had Lowden, Larrivee, Crafter and this HOhner, I say the hohner for the money is the most amazing value. Would buy another if lost. Love the wood, the sound, the action, if your looking for a first guitar this is IT!!!!
If your looking for a really playable second guitar this is IT!!!! I am If you can try out guitars great but a lefty it's hard sight unseen you won't be sorry you bought this one!

Made in China, 2001 or 2002, it's the brand new "O" series line from Hohner that features the 'African' wood ovangkol on the back and sides. Solid top, no electronics, gold plated tuners

Sound is excellent. very full and vibrant, the ovangkol woulds brings out the lows and makes the highs shine. it is loud, very rich, and has lots of volume no matter what you play

action was very nicely set, not too low though, bridge was straight, finish was good, nice grain on the ovangkol, not really picky on the flaws, the guitar came in excellent condition for the online seller

hadnt had in for that long, but i suspect it will last, it has good build quality and structure. strap button is plastic, thats a letdown but only minor

been playing about a year, i love that it has the ovangkol wood, ive researched it and found higher end guitars (1000-up) feature this wood on some of their guitars, martin to name one. and you know if its on higher priced its going to be an excellent feature to buy on a lesser priced guitar. i'm impressed with the sound, its a step up from my old one and i will play it like a mother woo!!
