This is a dreadnaught sized acoustic guitar. It has a natural gloss finish. It looks like it is a spruce top with mahogany for the back and sides. I think it is a laminate since most builders will scream from the rooftops that theirs is madewith solid woods. I couldnt tell on this one, so that just says how good they build these. I guess the Indonesians can build a great guitar. It has regular tuners not the cheap ones that the other guys in this price had. I bought it new from a local dealer who suggested it about a year ago. It came with a hardshell case. For the price that I paid that is incredible!

I play alot of different styles, but mainly I am a rhythm player in my band. We play a mix of Sublime and Bob Marley. This has a great crisp tone perfect for cutting through the other guitar player in the band who plays an Epiphone. It can handle different styles, I also play in a screamo band. Granted it doesnt get played much in that one, but when we practice we cant play electrified. It performes pretty good. I had to add a rare earth pickup for my acoustic band for playing gigs, but i also just picked up the AE version of this guitar with Fishman Ion preamp that wasnt available when i bought mine.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I have never had any issues with this guitar. I dont see any flaws or have any intonation problems. It just goes to show that the name on the guitar doesnt mean anything. A good guitar is a good guitar. I owned an Alverez before this and the frets on that were rough. I could never get the buzz out of it with out getting a saddle that made it just unplayable. I am very impressed with the quality for the price.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've been playing this guitar for about a year now. It has held up very well. I give it a setup every 6 months and it holds the setup pretty well. The finish does scratch up but the abuse that i have put this through does not make me worry about it. I have played it on gigs with out a backup, but as I just mentioned I just purchased the new HW350CE acoustic electric guitar so this one will now be my backup.

I couldnt tell you what the customer service is like. I havent had to call yet. The dealer that I got it from said for me to bring it back if there is any problems so i guess Hohner will take care of them.

Overall Rating : 10
I love this guitar. The new one is just as good, I just wish it was available when i got the first one. If it got stolen I would definately get another one.
