Hohner HW350CE

This is a dreadnaught with a electric hook up. Its got a Fishman Ion preamp with a tuner. Its got a gloss natural finish with a spruce top and mahogany back/sides. Its made in Indonesia but I cant afford an American Made guitar. I just bought this before Christmas because I had the non-electrified version and love it. Just like the other version this comes with the hardshell case.

It sounds just like the HW350 that i already owned, so very crisp perfect for the band I play with that does a mix of Sublime and Bob Marley. This has a pretty wide variety of tone perfect for the rhythm playing that I do.

Unlike my other HW350 guitar this guitar did have a flaw. On the fretboard by the 11th fret it does have a indentation the top side. Since I dont feel it when I play it doesnt bother me. Other than that it is just as good as my other guitar. Its different but i like where Hohner put the preamp controls, they are on the lower bout. Its a little different than what I am used to, but it doesnt get in my way.

This guitar seems just like my other HW350. It seems to look like it will hold up over time. I'll give it a setup every 6 months and that should do it for me. This is my main guitar to play gigs with, but i do still have an HW350 that I installed a rare earth pickup that I will use as a backup

So far this guitar has done great for me. I purchased it mainly because of the fist guitar that I got from Hohner. If it got stolen I would get another one. The pickup is great. The tuner is a little finiky. It can be a few cents off at times but it will get you really close. I had an Alverez before and I have to say I love this guitar. The other had so many problems with the setup. The free case was a huge plus. It was between this and an Ibanez Artwood. I'm sure I made the right choice.
