Not many - this is a strip down student-level acoustic. I got it as a "hmm-can-I-play-the-guitar" guitar. That's exactly what it was, too. No pick-up, nothing fancy. Doesn't look like crap, though - finish is decent, smaller body, slightly narrow fretboard. I went from this to a Gibson Jumbo and it was like culture shock.

This guitar doesn't sound pretty. Even with upgraded strings, constant tuning, and sensitive playing....it's just a beginner type guitar. You play it to learn how, then go get a real one to really play. Strumming is slightly better than fingerpicking, only because it gets the volume level up a bit.

Action was actually surprisingly good, especially for a beginner level guitar. Not too high so you have to work at it, but high enough that you develop the finger strength you need for playing a better guitar well. Machinery flat sucked, though. Constant tuning required. Even after adjustments, it went out of tune in a heartbeat. It got so bad that I only ever kept it in relative tune and never played it with another guitar. Pathetic.

takes a licking, I'll give it that. You can beat the hell out of this guitar, and it never really loses what little quality it has. This is one you can ship all over, knock into mic stands, bump into walls, no worries.

I've been playing for about five years now, still consider myself a complete beginner, and this guitar is perfect for people just starting out - especially if they're not looking to invest a lot of money in something they're not sure they'll even like *or* have any talent for. If it stayed in tune for more than two minutes, I probably would keep one around to goof off on, although I would never *never* gig with this guitar. Great for hauling to the park to jam, though.
