I bought this guitar so I wouldn't be taking my Martin D-16GT to parties, gigs, etc. I also wanted something "amplified", just plug it in and play.
As usual, I went to the MAJOR CHAIN and tried out a bunch of models in my price-range. I really like the fact that the controls on this one are knobs with pointers, so I can visually see what the "settings" are. Also, I really liked the built-in tuner.
This guitar is built in China and it's a real piece of art. Fantastic finish, all top notch equipment. The B-Band pickup is great.
It stays in tune whether it's being played hard, or sitting around, or in the case. Pull it out and it's ready to go.
I won't give it a 10 because it's not my "baby" - MY MARTIN!!

Sound : 8
Playing a Martin will spoil you, but for the money this guitar has a great sound, especially plugged-in.
I'm a real rookie with amplification. I prefer to play unplugged, but this thing really comes alive when I use it for the reason I bought it: To plug it in and play amplified.
It's got the RCA Jacks, and also the "other" kind, the multi-pin thing like a microphone.
Like I said above, the settings are very easy to see and control, and the B-Band equipment makes a sweet tone.
So unplugged I'd give it an 8. Plugged in a nine.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I bought it from a local dealer and they did a GREAT job. There was a little fret buzz at first but after a week or so it went away. The action is great all the way up the neck. Thanks Ted's Music in Gainesville, Georgia. (Support your LOCAL friends.)
The fit, finish is un-matched. This thing is a beauty. I really like the design. It's not overdone, but the binding and especially the "Flame" rosette is BEAUTIFUL...
I get a lot of positive comments on the appearance.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Oh yeah. This is a real winner in all areas. I've had it a couple of years now and apart from the minor scratches (No Pickguard), it looks brand-new.

Customer Support : 10
Shortly after I got it the electronics suffered a total failure. I contacted Ibanez and they immediately sent me all new "innards" complete with new B-Band pickup.
I was able to replace it all myself and it works fine.
OF COURSE I had registered the warranty and there were no questions asked. They were quick to respond and sent me a complete new electronics package. NO COST.
GREAT JOB AND THANK YOU IBANEZ!

I love this guitar. I now keep my Martin safely in it's case. The Ibanez is an arms-length away, ready to go at a moments notice.
I plug it into a Yamaha GO-46 and then it goes into my big iMac. I use it to do stuff in Garage Band and using their software modeling it can be anything from a plain acoustic to a maximum distortion noise machine..
The built-in tuner is the greatest thing since sliced bread. It's accurate, too!
I love this guitar and would highly recommend it.
I won't give it a ten, because my Martin would be jealous!

Sound : No Opinion
I just wanted an acoustic to knock around with when camping or in the backyard. I ran across this bargain and had to get it.

The sound is flat; that is: not excessively rich or bright; quite even across the spectrum.

Plugged in:
Peavey Stereo Chorus 400 - So, so. Chorus effect helps.
Gibson Titan III - Oh, baby!

I don't know how it came from the factory. The previous owner had it set-up by a well-known luthier; therefore it plays better than most electrics.

Fit & finish is perfect.

Small gripe: If one tries to put it in the case correctly, you will inadvertently turn on the E-tuner and have a dead battery the next time you pull it out.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I would harbor no misgivings re: using the AEF18 to gig; it appears solid in every way. Be sure to carry a back-up battery if you are going to use it electric.

Unfortunately, limited talent hinders many years of playing!
Love: The action, the price.
Hate: Nada
I would buy it again if lost, stolen or otherwise maligned.
