The features of this guitar are the same as all the other poster's. I bought it new from American Musical Supply. The finish I chose is the Tangerine. Very handsome color. The built in pre-amp and eq are a must. The neck is a lot thinner than most classicals as this guitar was designed for the electric player who may switch guitars during the night, like me. The single cutaway design really helps in accessing the upper register.

Sound : 10
I bought this guitar because my band switched from classic rock/oldies to smooth jazz. Right now nylon string acoustic is THE sound and I thought it would help. It really has. As an unamplified acoustic it is seriously lacking in projection and tone although it's great for just quiet practice. Amplified is where it comes into it's own. The Fishman pickup combined with the SST pre amp is outstanding. No piezo quack as with a steel string. The eq rounds out the shape and if you can't find a tone you like you never will. It can even switch to reverse phase to cancel feedback.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The guitar was set up right out of the box. If I had my way though the nut and bridge saddles might be widened a bit. Finish is typical Ibanez, no problems with the electronics although I will say the on board tuner is not very acurate. It'll get you in the ball park but won't nail it. I use a processor with a tuner anyway so I don't use it unless I'm just practicing.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've done two gigs with this thing and considering they were outdoors (in So.AZ) it did quite well. It's quite light so you can't throw it around like an electric. As far as the finish, just wipe it down when you're done. I must say though I don't care for the tuners. Seems to be a thing with Ibanez and Epiphone. They don't stay in tune well. I thought it might be the stock D'Addario strings it came with but I changed them a still get the same results. Maybe an upgrade would do it good. As far as a backup I have 4 guitars and a bass on stage so there's no problem there. If you pop a string however you're down for a while. There's no pegs at the bridge, you have to tie the strings. It takes a lot longer.

Customer Support : No Opinion
N/A. Never use customer support. I just ask the local guitar shops.

I've had a guitar in my hands since around 1965. I've played most modern genre however smooth jazz may be the most rewarding. I run the guitar into my Zoom 9.2tt and straight into my Carvin Bel Air 2X12. I also have a Carvin half stack which I haven't tried it through yet. My other guitars include an AR73 335 clone and an AF75 jazz box. My main electric is a Musicman Sillouhette with the H-S-H pickup configuation. I also play bass during the night with my Turser/Hofner into a Carvin Pro Bass 300 watt head into a Crate 2X10. If lost or stolen I wouldn't hesitate to get another. For the price and the sound you can't do better. You can spend a lot more money for the prestige but that's all you get for your money.

I don't remember what this guitar costed me, but I think it was just under 200 bucks.
This guitar is a classical, with neck binding, body binding, preamp and pickup with a built in tuner.
I didn't count the frets and don't know if the top is laminate.
It also has an XLR output.
The neck on this is a bit more thin than some classicals, which is why I got it.
This guitar has a rather dull black finish. Not satin, not shiny.
It is nice looking but not elaborate.
Very functional.
I am sure it is made from laminates given the rather low cost of the instrument, but in my experiences sometimes laminates sound as good as solids if not better. In fact I prefer laminated necks, they are more stable.
This guitar is surprisingly made in China. A few years back Chinese made instruments were about the same quality of american/mexican made instruments, but they seem to have gotten better and caught up with the Japanese and Korean instruments.

I do a lot of fingerstyle guitar, and like to record with a classical on some of my music.
I always find classical guitars to be a mixed bag of pains in the ***. I always have problems getting them to intonate properly ( I like to play up the neck, and notes that are even a little off drive me nuts).
I needed, as I say, one to record with. I had a rather expensive alvarez that was a very nice guitar, but the intonation on it was driving me bats.
So, I traded it off and got this one.

The intonation on it is very close. I had to mess with the truss rod a little to get the action and intonation right. The action is quite low, and this guitar lacks the second most pain in the *** of classical guitars, strings that rattle after the initial attack and when you are starting to lift your fingers off the strings.
This guitar is excellent in that area, the fretwork is very tight and close tolerance.
The sound when unplugged is not that good, but it is not bad either. It does sustain nicely and has nice tone, but is not real rich and does not project well.
But, through a board it sounds fantastic. Nice electronics. Nice control over the sound. Not a lot of finger noise. No rattles.
Very close intonation. with a file and a tuner I could likely file the saddle in a couple of spots and make the intonation perfect, but for now just to record I can adjust the two strings that are slightly out for when I am playing low on the neck and up on the neck.
This is a very impressive guitar through a board. I am quite happy with the sound I got down on tape.
In summary, if I wanted a guitar to mic in a live setting, this would not be it. But for recording this has the perfect sound and amount of control, as well as neck precision.
I rate this a nine because it is what it is, it is not pretending to be Carlos Montoyas personal favorite, it is an inexpensive well made classical. So, it lives up to what it is suppose to be. I take off a point because it does not project well acoustically.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Typical Ibanez workmanship. Everything well done, tight frets, well done finish. I found no flaws in it.
I would probably own all Ibanez guitars ( I have dozens of guitars of various brands) if not for the fact I don't like the neck shape of most Ibanez electrics. But, I have never seen a poorly made Ibanez guitar. Their workmanship is some of the best out there, and in my opinion among mass produced guitars them and Samick kick everybody elses *** in their respective price and style ranges.
I really wanted this guitar for function, so other than looking at bridge placement, checking the electronics out, and looking at the frets and tuners and nut, I didn't look too closely at the finish. But, I have yet to see any obvious flaws.
It appears to be the typical Ibanez perfection.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Being as this is a classical guitar the only two possible problems I can forsee is either in the electronics or with a bridge lifting. Which, I would expect no more from this brand guitar than any other. Those things are just the nature of the beast.

I do have to say this guitar feels a little more fragile than some, it is very light. I suspect it doesn't have a lot of bracing.
But, the neck joint looks tight as does the binding.

Customer Support : No Opinion
It is an Asian guitar. Asian products typically don't need customer support, the quality is in the name not on some flag or meanigless warranty that isn't worth the paper it is written on.
I also do all my own guitar teching, so customer support is not an issue with me.

I have been playing a wide variety of styles for 43 years. I don't keep track of how many guitars I have. I have quite a few amps, and am quite picky about what kind of gear I use. I take my time picking out guitars. I don't buy designer garbage or names on headstocks, I go for the gusto and look for what works well. I perform and record, and need guitars that are utilitarian, not wall decorations.
I find this guitar to be very utilitarian and functional. Getting the intonation right and the finger noise down was not difficult (which, on classical guitars I find to be more difficult on steel string guitars).
I have been through quite a few classical guitars over the years. I had a Yamaha 20 years ago that I wish I had kept, this one is second to it. I liked the Alverez I had more than this one in appearance and overall workmanship, but this one does the job FAR better than it did.
The only possible flaw I see in it is I don't like the way the battery goes in. It looks rather cheesy and frail. But, I don't drive nails with my guitars so chances are it will last me.
It also takes two AAs instead of a 9 volt, which is a little more inconvenient.
But all in all, this guitar is a winner. The plusses far outweigh the two very minor dislikes.
I would replace this if something happened to it, although I may look around at ohers as well. But this one was the best I found among all price ranges including some quite expensive guitars, as to it doing what I need.

This is a hybrid nylon classical guitar with a narrow neck and cut-away bout on the body. Mine is transparent Tangerine but they also come in black. The body is gloss Mahogany as is the neck and the top of the guitar is spruce. Some say it's a laminant but I can discern no layers from looking at the sound hole edge. This model comes with a very capable Ibanez SST pre-amp and a Fishman Piezo and man made bone nut and saddle. It also has two inputs, one 1/4" and an XLR and an on-board tuner. Nice!

When I got this beauty it had been played quite a lot at the store so the strings were worn and in need of replacing. I did some research and saw that Taylor's nylon guitars came with D'Addario's Pro Arte' extra hard strings so I installed a set on the Ibanez. What a difference! I highly recommend anyone who has this guitar to use these. They make the guitar resonate like crazy and display greater percussiveness and seem to be about 25% louder. No way am I saying this guitar sounds as good as a Taylor or a Martin nylon but for the money and features anyone would be stoked.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
My guitar shows a bit of carelessness in finish around the sound hole (barely noticable) but the rest of the guitar's finish is excellent. The action was just about perfect from the factory but the edges of the sloped fret ends are sharp and in need of dressing. Also, the saddle ends are sharp and squared. These issues are easily addressed and do not effect the playability. One more thing. The neck finish is gloss like the rest of the guitar and is sticky. A light massaging with 600 grit sandpaper remedied that situation.

Reliability/Durability : 8
This is my first nylon guitar. Seems stout enough.

IMO this is the ideal couch guitar. The body is smaller and thin, it plays great and it sounds excellent. It also would fit in nicely for those who gig to do covers of Bob Schneider or Willie Nelson with. This is my seventh acoustic I purchased over a thirty year span as I usually play electric and bass guitar. I'm tickled with this new addition to my collection. I can't put it down. I'd rate the AEG10NE as a perfect first guitar. It's inexpensive, it is easy to play, it sounds great and it looks fabulous. For the more experienced I doubt you'd outgrow this instrument. What more could you want?
