This is an Ibanez full size dreadnought solid wood guitar. Solid bear claw Engleman Spruce Top and Solid Mahogany back and sides, made in Korea. Thin frets, comfortable neck, Grover Tuners, maple binding, and some vvery suttle abalone inlays, on the neck, bridge and head stock. Mine came with a gig bag. Oh yeah gloss finish, when I got it, I hit it with some scratch and swirl remover and it looks brand new. I have to give the guitar a very good grade overall.

The guitar wasgreat sounding when I got it. I restung with light gauge steel strings, replaced the bridge with a TUSQ bridge as the original was soft plastic, gave the guitar a polish and couldn't be happier. The guitar is very light weight, sounds loud and evenly balanced. The guitar has a great voice really well balanced. I play it acoustically and use it for song writing, accompaniment and general noodling around. I can play everything from classic Jazz to pop. The guitar is lightweight which I like and feels strong.I heard one of the salesman playing this model in a guitar shop and remember how good it sounded, I was able to buy one very cheaply on EBAY. Ibanez doesn't have the rep for fine acoustic guitars but so far everyone that's heard or played it really liked it. Me included!

I bought the guitar off EBAY, and like I said made a custom TUSQ Bridge for it. I also raised the action a little. The guitar is solid engleman bearclaw spruce top, that's not bookmatched. The back and sides are solid mahogany. Gold grover tuners, with plasitc buttons, rosewood finger board and bridge and a really cool feature us the whole guitar is edged in maple! Even the fingerboard and head stock. Very classy for a Korean guitar. The guitar is pure acoustic and I think it is a great guitar and I like to play it.

The guitar doesn't have a pick-up so you have to hold it up to mic. Seems like the neck angle is right, the frets are thin like Martin, and the guitar is lightweight. Seems very well built and rock solid.

I have been playing off and on for 30 years, and have gone through a number if high end guitars and cheepies. None of them have I ever wanted back except for a Larrivee D-50. I really like the Ibanez AW500, to say they are under-rated is an under-statement. Ibanez really makes some excellent guitars. I'd buy another one. As with all acoustics you can put in a bone or TUSQ bridge and really improve the sound. That's what I did. I sue regular 12's and the action, tone are as good as any guitar out there. I really think it is a fantastic value for an acoustic.

The Jear of the Production is 2002 I guess.
The Top is made with Solid Engelmann Spruce.
They are no electrical parts.
The body wood is laminated palisander, the Neck is Mahagony.
Finish is worked out transparent. It's a dreadnought guitar.
No cutaway. The bridge is made with ebony.
This guitar works with Grover locking gold tuners.
The neck is thin. They are beautyful abalone inlays.
Fingerboard is made with rosewood.
They are absolutely no accessoires.

The sound is brilliant, no noises or buzzes.
She has a rich and warm sound I like it very much.

The setup was very well. It play really easy and comfortable.
The bookmatched top is well done. They are no color differences.
The top wood look's very fine. The bridge's routing is ok too.
It has one flaw. The finish is a little sensitive, don't touch the
top with some sweaty arms or so, because the finish suffers.
It lost's the gloss.

This guitar can used live, in the studio... Everywhere i think.
The hardware makes a good impression, I think it will lasts for a long time.
Strap: Thats' the point, it has only one strap button!!
You can depend on this guitar! I got the confidence to play it without any backup. It's still a very new instrument. I have to check it out in 5 years again.

Now I'm playing for ten years. My other (Electric)guitar is a Washburn KC-20V. If it would be stolen I would by this again. Sure.
Its' a very good instrument. Close your eyes - listen to it. Look at the price - then you know what I mean. Sounds a lot more expensive.
I like the abalone snowflakes an bindings.
I wish it would have massiv body and sides.
Thats' the only wish I had.

Acoustic guitar "Artwood 500" with solid select Engelmann spruce top with abalone snowflake inlays on rosewood fingerboard, vintage herringbone body binding, solid rosewood back and sides and gold Grover tuners. Ebony bridge with abalone snowflakes. Neck is satin finish C-shape. Next to the serial # inside the guitar it says that it's handmade. There are no built-in electronics but a Dean-Markley pickup works very well with this guitar.

I like the instrument I play to be very versatile, and this is a versatile instrument. Notes can be sharp and dry or smooth and bell-like depending on how the string is hit. There is a wide dynamic range and very little string buzzing when it is played very loudly. Each note seems to be balanced, that is to say, one string isn't louder than the others.

I got the guitar used and it was all set up perfectly. There are no dings or scratches, and the finish is very shiny.

My only complaint is that there's no way to put a strap on the guitar without making some sort of shoelace contraption on the headstock. I guess they thought that a guitar of this quality would be played sitting down, but I want to stand while I play sometimes. This goes into the reliability category because the lack of real strap buttons might lead to some dings down the road. Even so, I think that the instrument as a whole will last all the way down the road.

I got this used and I think it was a very good value. First off, people don't think of Ibanez as a good acoustic maker (they're famous for the Tube Screamer, after all) so the price was be lower because of low demand. Second, it was used but in very good condition, and was still a pretty recent model. I think I will be playing this guitar for a long time.
