I tried a few others (same model) in the store and this one definately stood out as the best sounding. Very even, balanced and full sound. Intonation and set up good. Very crisp/bright with a nice clear but not boomy bass. Similar to the Taylor / Gibson sound. I had been using a Martin 6-string jumbo of a friend and needed to find a guitar to replace it with for recording. Didn't want to spend the money for a Martin.

I would say that with the usual care needed for acoustic guitars it would be quite durable used live.

Never had to deal with them. Part of the St Louis Musical Instrument Group (Crate amps etc.) should be OK

Hi I bought this nice guitar not long ago but I'm more than just satisfied! It's an Ibanez AW 95 CE DX 6 string guitar. It was produced in Korea in 1995. The top is solid spruce and the sides are laminated mahogany. All is transparent finish. It's a dreadnought body. The guitar has a fishman pickup with a aeq 3-v preamp(with 9v block batterie). That features treble, bass and mids with additional mid frequencie and volume. Specialities are fret inlays in form of the "tree of life" or something like that usw.

the sound is great and rich. it'S not too bright and not too dark it's just the right thing. I use the guitar with a Marshall AS 50 R amp and the old rocktron tsunami chorus delay pedal. the sound there is amazing...there no words to explain it. I'd say in this price area this guitar is the no 1! Actually the sound is comparable to more expensive instruments.

The AW 95 came from the factory with a light setup of strings. The finish is excellent - not too glossy not too satin. The fretboard inlays are exactly fixed to the board- no glue smears or something else. The tuners are mounted properly and are working excellent.

The guitar is very durable and reliable. I have never had any problems taking the guitar to a festival or open mic session without any backup. It always works perfect. The endpins and tuners were properly installed and are dependable. Last but not least it stays tuned very well.
