Features : 7
Made in Japan - Matsumatu Factory 1979 - Hand Made
Acoustic Dreadnaught
Transparent finish on Solid (might me laminate, but probably solid) Spruce Top - Solid Mahogony Back and sides
No name Japan Tuners
Med size Neck - Mahogany
Plastic Bridge and Nut (Have someone (Luthier) cut you some bone)
Dot inlay on Rosewood Fretboard
Med size Frets

She needs a strap peg on the neck........ drill a hole and put one in, five bucks at the most.

Its a solidly built dreadnaught - No Frills - This is all you need....... besides the wood is 30+ years old; old wood is good wood.

Sound : 10
Deep base (Great for Country Boom, Chick), volume even on all strings, quick response. Beautiful for Blues, Bluegrass and Country Music.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Dont know how it came from the factory, its 30 year old. Set the neck and carved a new bone bridge and she sparkles.

Couple of checking marks on the top sheet and a small crack on the neck, but as I said earlier, "she is 30 years old".

Reliability/Durability : 7
I treat her like my third child. I take her out and play Blues and Country once a week. She comes out to play and then goes back in the box. Never thought I would be this attached to a "Jap" guitar. My Bluegrass playing Grand parents (Western Maryland Baby!) would laugh their *** off if they knew I bought this thing.

Customer Support : 1
Are you kidding me? Its me, some glue, a file and some clamps if she needs it.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar since I was 17, I am 31 now. I started out on piano and violin. Dont laugh, thats how we do it in Maryland/West Virginia/Virginia. If I could afford a $3000.00 Gibson or Martin I might buy one. Probably not, because the prices they get these days for guitars is ****ing rediculous. Love the loud and powerful presence of this baby. She isnt overly bassy or trebley. Ibanez sure did/does have some good QC. I can safely say I wouldn't buy anything Ibanez has come out with in the last 10 years, not my style.

If it sounds good and nothing is majorly screwed up, buy it.

Seriously, if you find one of these or another late 70s Ibanez acoustic, buy it.
