Spruce top, rosewood fretboard and mahogany neck, sides and back, Mini drednought cutaway. What they call transparent blue, very nice. High gloss finish with electronics.
Mine didn't come with a gig-bag!!! :( Fretwork seems to be good.

Sound : 5
Ha Ha! The sound is very shallow and conservative. Not a good sound. What you would expect from a 3/4 scale guitar. However, the balance is pretty good and after you are dissapointed, plug it in, you'll be taken by surprise. Plugged in, the guitar sounds as good as a full size. but.... since the guitar is a trip-guitar, who carries around an amp?

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Impressive, The guitar was set almost perfectly (saddle, bridge and truss rod). No complaints so far.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The strap button was white and plastic. Really cheap, I changed it with a metal one. This improved the appearance quite a bit. The guitar looks pretty solid. Has life time warranty.

This guitar is for my daughter. She is five now and started out with a $29 guitar that sounds like a toy. Now that she is going up and down the C scale, my wife and I thought it might be time to get her a real guitar. There is no way she can play a full size yet so we looked at a Yamaha, Larrivee Parlor, Taylor baby and this Ibanez. Between these guitars, I felt the baby Taylor was the best choice but it seemed a bit fragile, and I already owned a big baby for travelling so we decided to go with the Ibanez. I was expecting more from the Larrivee but it didn't sound good. Was it the strings? If anyone owns one let me know. My daughter loved the blue color.

Before you buy this guitar, make sure it's what you want. It really does not sound good unplugged. To carry around, I would go with the Baby Talor which is a bit more expensive but sounds better.

Sound is what you would expect in a 3/4 size, except when hooked up to an amp. Then it sounds GREAT.

It's a little bright for my taste, since most of the time it's not plugged in. That's OK, since I'm the only one hearing it.

This is a fine looking guitar, once you get over the bright blue finish. The setup was fine, no adjustments were required. I think a different set of strings would warm it up a bit.

I've been carrying this around the country for the last 90 days, it has held up well - even after a guy on an airplane dropped it!

The hardware is solid - it stays in tune.

I haven't had to talk to them, I haven't had any problems.

I bought this as a travel guitar, since I'm on the road and want to practice. I looked at the tacoma and the martin backpacker - this is an actual guitar with concert tuning, so I don't have to learn a new scale. It's very light and totable.

I really liked the sound with the amp, but I'm not lugging it around, too. I wouldn't be ashamed to play it in public - but with the amp!
