This is a fantastic guitar. The first new guitar I ever bought. Unfortunately stolen from mt home in a burglary in 1994, I hope the b*st*rd rots.
If I found another one of these on ebay or elsewhere I'd pay anything, if the condition were good.

This guitar was made in Japan - "hand crafted". I've found reports that indicate it could have been manufactured between 1979 and 1981. I have the M342TV which is a dark sunburst-y colour. There are pearl dot inlays on the fretboard and a pearl "Ibanez" on the headstock. On the back of the headstock "Made in Japan" is written in gold lettering. The tuners are a gold colour, the neck and body have a white trim. This model is acoustic only.

This is my first 12-string, but it sounds fantastic. It seems to stay in tune really well despite being over 20 years old. The sound is bright and melodic. When I bought mine it had the bottom fret removed (closest to the body.)

There are two main marks that this model had when I bought it second hand. They were both on the body near the sound hole - obviously this guitar had been played a fair bit. The wood polishes up great though (thank you "Mr Sheen"!) and the neck is still straight as an arrow.

Judging purely by the great condition that this guitar is in for its age, I'd say that it is quite reliable and durable. The construction seems very solid, so I think there are still many years left in this guitar.

I've been playing it for about a week now and it seems fantastic! The sound is bright and it's a really attractive model. Please contact me via email if you want to share any info about this model - specifically things like rarity, price and sound.

Made in Japan 1979. 12-string dreadnought, nothing special about this. Solid spruce top, back and sides flamed maple (laminated), maple neck, maple fretboard (!) - thatswhy it says "Maple Series". Body, neck and headstock with b/w multiple bindings. Tortoise pickguard. Abalone dot-inlays and "Ibanez" logo on headstock. Gold tuners, golden endpin. No electronics.

I am not that experienced in 12-strings and never played a Guild (or a similar brand), but I can say it sounds like angels singing. The maple gives a very bright tone. I've never played a guitar with a sweeter voice.

Excellent quality guitar (label says "handcrafted") - absolutely flawless and it looks very expensive!
Very smoth tuners.
I can't tell about factory setup - its used! Current setup is great though.

Very sturdy highgloss-finish, build to last. It is 23 years old now an without major scratches! No fretwear etc., just the gold from the tuners is a little worn off.

I haven't been playing for too long (1,5 years), but I can say this guitar ist the best I ever had (compared to entry-level Cort or Washburn guitars I used to own). No disklikes.
I'd be glad if someone could provide additional info on this beauty or just share his/her opinion with me.
