I am pretty certain that this guitar is a solid spruce, laminate mohogany back and side guitar. It has a Fishman pickup and controls for Highs, mids, and bass and a battery check button. It is a dreadnaught cutaway. The neck is very thin. It is apparent that it is an acoustic built for electric players. I bought it from a friend so when I bought it, all I got was the guitar.

I think this guitar sounds very very good. I've had if for close to two years now and it has never let me down. When playing plugged in, it is apparent that this guitar was designed to be plugged in. The Fishman pickup is quality. It's a pretty bright sounding guitar...I would prefer a little bit more bass, but it definately gets the job done. I play Dave Matthews music, and it sounds good for the money. I've never had complaints. I've played with it at college open mics, and like I said, it's never let me down.

It was set up from when I bought it from my friend, so everything was fine when I bought it. It had a few dings just from random playing (as well as a Britney Spears sticker that had to go). The tuners were fine, it was in pretty much pristine condition. Everything seemed very well put together on this guitar. The action seemed low...a lot lower than the Fender I had been playing. Two years later, I still love this instrument.

As I've stated before, I've played this guitar in front of people ever since I got it. I play at open mics and I've never had any problems with it. The finish is good, and despite many many bumps and even a car accident, this guitar has never shown any signs of giving out when I've needed it. Since I bought this guitar, I've purchased 3 others and none of those 3 has been able to become my #1 guitar. The strap button that came with the guitar is fine...I've had one installed under the treble side since then and that one unscrews sometimes, but it's not a problem.

I've been playing for about 2 years, and this guitar was there for most of it. It's made me a better player overall. The Ibanez has become my baby and I can't seem to find anything to take it's place. If this guitar got lost or stolen, I would cry, but it would also give me an excuse to buy another...since that is my hobby of late. I can honestly say that the only problem I have with this guitar is that it doesn't quite have the booming bass that the music I play requires, but it's not a problem really. Very reliable, nice sounding, pleasing to the eye. It is a nice guitar.

Overall Thsi is a very nice looking guitar. EVERYTHING on it works for what it is sopossed to be and that is a quality Guitar FOR THE MONEY. The only thing that cought me off guard is that the finish was not Applied evenly and the bottem of the sound hole which made it unpleasnt to look at when playing!

When i got the guitar home and hooked it up it surprised me. Amped it is a nice sounding guitar. I noticed some easy feedback when it was hooked up to a chorus pedal but the could usually be corrected before the NOISE got ear bleeding. Unpluged the guitar also sounds good but the tone does not carry very well. In a small room the guitar sounds great. In the backyard it does not!

Like I said the Guitar looks very good except for the small finish problem it has aroud the sound hole, but this is probably only on my guitar. I also noticed a few small scratches when i got it out of the box but nothing that would matter to any extent!

Very decent acoustic/electric for the price. I have gigged with it several times with no problems. However, when playing at home, I've popped the nut off of the input jack more than once. There is very little threading on the input jack and it's quite a bitch to get it back on. For a no frills, $200 guitar it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Great plugged-in acoustic sound. Check other submissions for an indepth list of features.

This guitar, when plugged in, sounds amazing for the price. Fishman knows what they're doing when it comes to piezos. Unplugged there is much to be desired. It's very thin sounding with little projection. Up against my brothers solid top Seagull, it's no match. For gigging though, it does a great job. I give it an 8 plugged in and a 3 unplugged.

Factory set-up was fine. Nice intonation. I play inversion up and down the neck and chords sound just as good at the 10th fret as they do open. The Fishman controls are solid, though they lack much depth. I gig pretty heavily with this and I did notice the frame around the control panel was cracking. I really wish they had put the input jack in the strap button. If you're sitting down and plugged in, you're eventually going to pop the thing apart and the only way to fix it is to go in through the sound hole. My arms are almost too big. Poor engineering in this regard. I'd give it a 9 in this category if it weren't for this glaring flaw.

As I've said, I've gigged with this guitar A LOT. As long as I'm standing I have absolutely no problem. I initially experienced some feedback problems but, was able to dial it out on the amp. You should always bring a backup guitar but I've gigged a lot without one. It gets a 7 because of the input which isn't a problem when standing.

When I worked for Guitar Center I would try to call Ibanez customer support and never could get anyone. So, from this experience I have to rate then low in this dept. They may have improved since then, however.

I've been playing for about 11 years and I needed a gig worthy acoustic/elictric for cheap, and fast. This guitar is made for gigging. At this price, they're practically disposable. I wish I'd have noticed the input placing. I might have gotten something a little more expensive. If it were stolen, I would not shed a tear. If you're doing tunes that require acoustic in your live set and don't have the bread to drop on a Martin or Taylor, this no frills axe will do the job.

This guitar is an elec/acoustic cutaway. It has a volume knob, a 3-band eq, and a battery check button. I'm not sure if the top is solid or laminate, but the guitar is very lightweight.

I play this guitar through a PA system, and it sounds decent, but kind of flat. The guitar's EQ doesn't help much either. Get yourself a chorus pedal and an EQ pedal set to a "v" shape, and you're in business. Also, this guitar can sound really muddy if you boost up the bass.

Be careful- the salesman had 3 of these on hand , and you couldn't even hit a chord on two of them. (the strings were "fretting out"). Of course, any new guitar should be set up by a decent tech. Also, there was a loose wire on the battery box, and the plug was a tad corroded.

I think the guitar is fairly durable, and the finish is nice. It makes a great backup axe in case you trip on stage and break your main guitar.

If you buy this guitar and spend the money to get it set up, it's a great value. It's fairly comfortable to play, and it's light weight makes it great for rehearsal. I would buy it again.

The guitar has controls for volume and tone. It also has 20 frets. I am not sure about the wood kind. I think it is a solid top guitar. It has a fairly wide variety of tones-ranging from full and bassy over the soundhole, to bright and trebley near the bridge. I have used it in several gigs (I have only had it for a short time). I use Gibson J-200 Light Gauge strings on it. The only thing I wish it had is a better quality pickup. When I plug in, the guitar rattles under the bridge(this could just be mine). Also, the tone control stays mostly the same from one to ten.

The guitar is very good for jazz-great tone-I also use it in alternative music and classic rock. I play through a Zoom 505 pedal and a cheap Suzuki 10 watt practice amp. I am planning to buy a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or a DeVille soon, though. The guitar still sounds good though, even if it is through a "crap amp". I use it mainly on the acoustic-electric effect and my clean setting on the zoom. Sometimes I use it through a mild overdrive or some delay/chorus effects. NEVER use it with heavy distortion unless you have a feedback protection system--WOW--it gives some nasty feedback-not good. I mentioned the tones of the guitar in the features section. The guitar has a pretty good variety. I consider it a great acoustic for the price.

The finish is a nice style. It is not a laminated top. The only flaw I have come across in the guitar is that from time to time, the guitar rattles when I plug into it-under the bridge. It isn't enough to bother me, though. The action is perfect! It isn't so low that there is fret rattle, but it isn't too high either. Ibanez did a nice job building this guitar.

This guitar is extremely reliable in gigs. It is very well built. It takes a fair amount of abuse. I have hit corners of tables with it by accident a countless number of times, yet it has no visible dents. It only came with one strap button, but my local dealer installed another one for me(not sure what kind). The first button looks like it will last a long time. I would definately use this guitar in a gig without a backup.

This is a great guitar for the price. If I had more money at the time, I probably would have bought a guitar with a better pickup system, but I have grown accoustomed to this guitar, now. I probably would buy this guitar again. Take my advice though: Make sure you check out all of the deals around before you invest in something like this. You want to make sure you buy the guitar that best suits your style.
