Laminate spruce top, mahogany sides and back, Rosewood fretboard with pearloid dot markers, cream neck-binding. I gave it an 8 for a score here because for what it is, the guitar has every "Feature" that it's supposed to have, nothing more, nothing less.

I tried about 7 different 12-string guitars the day I bought this. It sounded equal to all of the much more expensive solid top models. It also played as easy as the best of them. The sound is well balanced, seems to be working out good for anything from the Beatles to Pink Floyd to Supertramp.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Like I stated above, out of all the guitars I tried out at my local music shop this Ibanez played the easiest, the action is great. finish is superb, the older, more ornate style pickguard really adds a lot to the guitar looks-wise. Tuners work perfectly. I also like how they stained the sides and back darker than the average mahogany bodied guitar. It actually looks like rosewood. The guitar looks like an older sytle acoustic that the Beatles used on songs like "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" from the "Help" movie.

Seems strong, only time will tell. It's Ibanez so I have good faith in it.

Been playing for about 30 years and have owned so many different guitars that I can't even remember them all. I will remember this guitar though, it's my new favorite. You hear many people put down laminate wood guitars. The difference to the average player (and audience) would go un-noticed and you will never have to worry about the guitar developing cracks over time. Like I said earlier, this guitar sounded just as good as the $700.00 guitars I tried that day, so for $175.00 I feel like I got an excellent deal. I would buy another without a second thought.
