This guitar is what it is: A cheap acoustic guitar. It plays very well. I bought mine to have a guitar to travel with. I wanted one that if something were to happen to it I would not be out a bunch if money. It does the job. Perfect for the beach, camping, the river, sitting around the living room etc.

The guitar works. I changed the strings when I got it, but I always do that.

This is a good cheap guitar. I like it a lot. It feels nice and sounds loud. I am able toplay a variety of styles on it. If you are looking for this thing to sound like a high dollar acoustic expect to be disapointed. This is a barebones guitar. It makes no promises that it is anything else. If you need a cheap guitar, this is the one. For what it is and what I am going to use it for, it is perfect. I would buy another one of these in a second. The price is right and the sound is good enough. It is not the equipment as much as it is the user.

Bought the Madison model at the beginning of 2004. Found this guitar to be a joy to play. I play professionally and always looking for the right guitar to play on the road. Great tone and the action is sweet!!! For the money I am not worried about scratching or banging this guitar. I'll just buy a new one. I bought a Tell City also, sorry Fender if I can get the same sound out of a cheaper guitar thin So Long!!! It's all about the $.... Indiana Guitar Company Pleasure doing business with you. Now can I have my free American guitar!!! LOL

Don't know what year, presumably pretty recent. 20 frets. Passive Electronics, which bring down the rating of features. Volume and tone sliders. Tuners are decent, no name, but don slip a little.

I gotta say I was really impressed with how this guitar sounds after a good set of strings and a decent setup job. The factory put absolutely no time into setting this guitar up, but for only paying $80 for it, what do you expect. unplugged, it's not exactly the tone of a martin, a little on the trebly side, but again for the $.
plugged in, its a little on the thin side, and the volume is extremely low. Don't even think about running this straight into the board, cuz without a preamp of somekind, you'll have no volume. A decent preamp and EQ made this sound 100% better plugged in. Not alot of feedback on stage either.

Setup from the factory was absolute crap. Action sucked, nut was cut wrong, and the strings....well, everybody replaces strings first thing anyway, right? The frets were actually leveled pretty well and the bridge was okay. The finish is actually pretty nice. once setup properly, the action is really good. This is one great playing guitar for the money. Every bit as good as the $300 fender and ibanez guitars.

The tuners do slip a little if played for a while. No problems with the finish and I've played the crap out of it for the last couple of months. Had the guitar for going on 6 months and haven't had any problems yet.

Been playing for about 5 years, own a couple other guitars. If lost or stolen, I'd definately track down another, especially if I could find one for the same price. Aside from the passive pickups, I really like this guitar. Might try swapping out the pickups for something else.
