update on sound and electronics
sounds really good for whatit is through an amp had to set everything flat and work the volume more for best sound. bridge became too rutted had to replace with a heavier one and fixed P/U this had 6 individual sensors so the string Had to be exactly over them or you get no sound from that string made a small mark where the sensor was on bridge with a pencil to get string in correct palce
got strap locks and am getting spezel tuners
tuner is really a good tool don't have to carry a seperate one for acousic gigs

I'm just now learning to play, so I really don't have a style of my own. I do some strumming and fingerpicking and it sounds fine. Sound is full and bright, but not too much bass. Have played quite a few other guitars since I bought this one and honestly, for the money it holds its own against guitars costing much more. Not a lot of sustain, and the intonation is not perfect - it's never going to be mistaken for a Larrivee, Breedlove or Martin, but not bad.

Action was set up too high for my taste when I bought it. Lowered the saddle and changed the strings to light gauge Martins and it improved greatly. Considered changing to bone nut and saddle, but figured that would be overkill on an $80 guitar. No flaws at first, but has developed a crack on one side from neck to bottom. does not affect playability, and is not very noticeable due to dark color or wood finish, but I know it's there.

Don't know how well this guitar would stand up to live playing - if I ever get good enough to find out, I'll probably have a much better guitar. Hardware seems sturdy enough, finish has held up well so far. Only came with one strap button, but it's secure. Holds tune pretty well, only the 2nd and 5th strings seem to need retuning after several days. I don't think I'd ever gig without a backup - you just never know.

Don't know about the company or warranty. Never called them, most likely never will.

Like I stated, I'm only just starting to learn how to play. I have this guitar and a cheap Harmony strat-copy i picked up for a song (no pun intended). I saw this guitar as I was walking through my local pawn shop one day last year, picked it up, saw the price and decided it was time to learn. If stolen or lost, I'd buy something else - something with a solid top. This guitar has been good to me so far, but, having played others in the last few months, I am beginning to see it's shortcomings. It still probably sounds better than I can play, but I'm looking to replace it in the next few months.
