I play blues, rock, and some classic.
Great sound after a few tweaks:
I changed to nickel plated strings, the phosphorus bronze were too dull for my taste.
I had the neck adjusted, and the intonation greatly improved.
As a result, it sounds like a $900 guitar.
This guitar really screams for an acoustic.
Action, Fit, & Finish

As already mentioned, I needed to adjust the neck for better intonation and action.
I tuned this guitar for normal play, not open tuned.
The resonator plate had one loose screw, only needed to tighten it.
These are bad points, now for the good:
The controls are tight.
Wood appeared to be nicely finished...especially at the "f" holes, I did not expect such well-fitting binding at this price.
The neck is very solid, and the frets were finished well.

This Swamp Stomper is holding up well, but since it is only 8 months old, I can't gurantee no issues down the road.
The guitar is not my main guitar because of the unique tinny sound that I wanted for some songs.
The hardware keeps the strings in tune.
The guitar does not seem to be as sensitive to humidity changes for outdoor gigs, as others I have owned, like I said, it holds its tune well.
The only thing that I can compalin about are the scratches on the resonator plate, and slight buckle scratches on the back of the guitar.

No Opinion
I can't comment on customer support, since I used a local Luthier for neck adjustment, and intonation settings.

I have been playing for about 35 years, I wanted to experiment with a resonator, but didn't want to spend over $800.
I tried out several different resonators (Fender, National, Schmid), and this one felt very solid.
I love the sound, it carries sound well acoustically, and when you plug it in, it really screams.
I would buy another one.

Has that honky metallic resonator sound, unplugged.
Decent plunky plugged in sound with volume and tone controls.

Nice looking guitar, but upon arrival, this one did not deliver on playablitly.
Buzzing frets on high E string at fret 10, 11, 12.
Neck adjustments did not help fret buzz.
Intonation severely sharp on low E, A, D, and G strings. Not able to compensate at bridge. Bahr chords up the neck sound out of tune.
Currently the guitar is in the shop trying to resolve the fret problems and reworking the bridge to try to resolve the intonation problems.

It seems solid, but I have not really put it through its paces yet because it's still being set up.

I am having repaired at a professional luthier, and did not attempt to have the manufacturer repair it.

Overall, this guitar is a real disappointment. Mostly because it has terrible intonation problems. It sounds decent and could be a real winner with better attention to detail in the manufacturing process. I'd recommend NOT buying one untested, online or through the mail, but rather play it first, if possible. I wouldn't be surprised if every once in a while a well made copy comes off the assembly line in China.
Play first, before you buy! I kinda expect a little more quality in the setup, fit, and finish for this price level guitar, but maybe not...
