I play metal and value volume so I installed Dimarzio Full Shred pickup.I chiselled a hole in the top. Looks a little shitty but it works. One problem steel strings tend to bow the neck.

I pulled off the bridge and installed a Floyd Rose and locking tuners. Same one I put on my '57 strat.I also installed the guts from the big Muff inside the box for some fuzz.

The 2000 model R2. Simple but refined, this classical has been nothing but solid in its performance. Very tightly grained cedar top. Spanish cedar neck is beautiful. Bindings are perfect.

Incredibly balanced from treble to bass. Higher trebles are like bells and the basses growl. The even nature of the overall tone inspires more confident play...at least for me!

I've been playing it like mad and it hasn't had any problems...hopefully the Ramirez reputation for durability will hold true.

I looked quite a while for the best student classical I could afford...and I ended up playing a lot of guitars! I settled on the Ramirez R2 because it simply had an overall solid feel to it that was difficult to describe. The guitar is loud and bold when it has to be but is quite capable of the most delicate melodies.
