2001 C-10e Made in Vancouver, BC, Canada. 20 frets with Florentine cutaway (sharp) Solid Rosewood sides and back maybe engleman spruce top 1 piece mahogony neck with presention (vine inlay) and ebony laminated headstock. presentation bridge wings. Glossy. 1.75 neck width. Fishman natural 1 pick-up. Case was extra.
Stunning to look at. Recently inlays have looked a little duller than previous models. I noticed gaps in the inlay work on many fret boards. Woods are uniform in grain patern and luster. Inlays are abundant, detailed yet not too overstated. I give it a A-:excellent

This guitar can be played very quickly; slowly; hard or soft; finger or pick and still keeps its composure. This was the only manufacturer that could boast that achievement with almost every guitar they make. I had a loaner DV-09e: It was a dream...my recordings came alive, my live performances went from a good new performer new on the scene to when will he get signed. The sound is clear and very professional with beeautiful under/overtones. the c-10 is a more projected destict sound like a concert or OO with bass very strange and pleasent. I have caught my self forgetting the song I'm playing because I'm moved by the sound. I give it a A+: sublime

perfect action set-up: low, no fret buzz, with rich tone. Pick-up good may need some tweeking(added bass), but its too early to tell. Bookmatched front. Beautiful woods, the cutaway is a different tree. I like it but it doesn't match(you'd have to look very closely. What got my goat was gaps between the wood and the fret board inlays. I'm working with Larrivee to fix this. I may be anal, but at $3400 I demand perfection other than the gaps and the lower luster inlay on the neck and NO STRAP BUTTONS...Perfect I give it a b+:great but not sublime

When ordering this guitar Larrivee reps were very helpful. I told them what sound I wanted and what counditions I would play it under- They were very helpfull even though I was looking at a Master Koa C-10 twice the cost. Guitar center onthe other hand...It took 5 representatives, managers and the store bigwig before and noticable compedency occured. they reniged on price quotes, didn't order at all, ordered the wrong guitar, didn't return calls...8 months later I got the guitar. I must say though the new store manager did me right he gave me a loaner Larrivee, and gave me everything at cost: guitar, case, cables, strings...My advise don't order anything special and If you run into a problem ask for a manager or the store bigwig. They are authorized to make you happy and they, in my experience, want you happy and out of their face.

I was a acid blues player. Electric Guitar only. I received alot of request for my own music, but It was all folky acoustic stuff, but I felt very uncomfortable with high action, fret buzzing, or no soul stick makers like Martin, Taylor, Lowden, Fox, Breedlove, Santa Cruz, Collins, Froggy Bottom. The last three were serious considerations. Money was not a big problem, but I kept coming back to a C-05e. If your on a budget look at a C-05e for around 950-1300 near cost. Its almost identically sounding and playing to the c-10e in quality.
If stolen I would replace it very quickly. I would call every pawn shop, and guitar store...It is a treasure
