It's a simple dreadnought design, so there's not a lot of frills. It's simply a wonderful looking a playing guitar. a booming bass sound from the ages wood (it just keeps improving with age). Has a comfprtable neck. The finish is spotty in places where the varnish ran some (this may be why ther whole "seconds" myth from Gibson started. i've played $3000.00 Gibsons that don't sound as good!

Rich is all I can say. Perfect for strumming the blues, or even "ol timey" stuff.

Great set up action and superb craftmanship (it's a shame whomever finished it was sloppy that day.

It's over thirty years old and I've only changed the tuners to Grovers, 'cause I like 'em. This guitar will last for hundreds of years!

Although I've only been playing the guitar a few years, I've been around instruments, of all sorts, all of my life.
For an acoustic, it can't be beat. When i got it, I traded some services for it ($50.00, worth of security system repair). The guitar even has a working antique DeArmond pickup from Rowe Industries formerly of Toledo, Ohio with it!
I also have an Ovation 1861 Balladeer, and an Elitist Epiphone Les Paul Standard

I have a Lyle w465 flat top guitar I purchased in 1972 or 3 and paid $100.00 for it. I cant find this model number anywhere in my searches.
I can find the w-460 which I guess is the copy of the Gibson Hummingbird. My w-465 looks alot like the 1200-l but is a little different then mine.
Can anyone give me any info on this model number?
