I've always had a passion for Jumbo acoustics, but in my opinion nobody was building anything that floated my boat.., until I played a Magnum Opus Jumbo 450. I'm so not into Gibson J-200 stuff esthetically or tone wise - maple tone is to thin for me. Up til now my fav jumbo was a Master series Breedlove, but not anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's a great box, but the MO tops it ten fold. My MO J-450 has Master Grade Indian Rosewood/Sitka tonewoods with dual Ebony/Abalone rosette, abalone fretboard/headstock purling, ebony bridge with aluminum inset border and hexblock MOP fret markers. The craftsmanship is the best I've ever seen!

A complete tone monster! I've never heard a better sounding acoustic at any price - period! My search for tone is over. This thing is so big it's scary. Recently did a session with it and the Engineer had a parametric Equalizer inline and played with it for 15 minutes. He finally bypassed the EQ and stated everything he tried only took away from it's natural tone. He further stated it was the only time in his life he couldn't improve the sound with para EQ on an acoustic and was amazed at the clarity and absence of acoustical overtones.

The Satin finished, hand-carved Mahogany neck fits me like a hand in a glove. The deep black ebony fingerboard and the MO neck profile is effortless to play and the action and intonation is something I could only dream of in the past.

I've played this daily for the past 9 months and it continuously astounds me on the stage and in the studio. I've never been so inspired by an instrument in all my life.

I will never sell this guitar!!! I've been playing since the sixties and this acoustic puts all my boxes to shame. I read somewhere that the Eagles recorded every acoustic track on their new double album with Magnum Opus guitars.
