I could not believe the beauty of this Claro Walnut with Western Red Cedar Jumbo when my eyes fell upon it. The leaf rosette and short vine is simply stunning and the inlay work is flawless. In fact the whole guitar is flawless.

The guitar is so beautiful I was certain it could not play and sound as good as it looked, but I was wrong! This baby sings with the most beautiful tone I have ever heard and it plays wonderful. I have a large collection of acoustics and this MO blows them all away.

I have never played an acoustic that played this smooth. It came setup perfect and I've done nothing but change strings.

I have played this guitar for 1,000 plus hours to date and it only gets better as it continues to open up. I could not live without my Magnum Opus now as it has completely spoiled me.

I've been playing for over 20 years and this is my greatest discovery in the acoustical guitar world to date. Thank you Magnum Opus for this wonderful instrument. They are hard to find, but if you ever have the opportunity to play one - do it!

Recently, a dear old friend had past away. Shear luck brought us together after dozens of years apart. His wife called: he had written me into his will and I had the first pick of his extensive vintage and high-end guitar collection. According to his wife, the Magnum Opus J-625CWC Magnum Jumbo was his last acquisition and all he played until his demise. Never heard of it, I said. Mind you, the temptation of walking off with one of his $50,000 guitars was overwhelming, but after several hours of serious drooling, side by side, this M O Jumbo hands down blew away some of the most revered brand names in guitars, in every category. I picked my old friend???s favorite, with no regrets.
This MO Magnum Jumbo is the most beautiful and flawlessly built guitar I???ve ever held in my hands. Master Grade Western Red Cedar Top with grain so tight you need a magnifying glass to count them. Master Grade Claro Walnut back and sides, a one-piece hard-carved mahogany neck, Padouk purfling, an exquisite, multi-ringed ebony and leaf-figured abalone rosette, Padouk, Maple and Whitewood binding, a delicate floral abalone inlay on the Ebony finger board and super accurate 18-1 tuners with Walnut heads. ??? This guitar is breath taking.

The acoustical qualities of this MO J-625CWC Magnum Jumbo are nothing less than extraordinary. Its wide, balanced range is crisp, clean and sonorous for any style, from Blue Grass to Jazz. I???ve been recording with it for a few months on a big time console. All of my tracks were clear with no artifacts, overtones or dropouts - top to bottom. The acoustical response of MO???s design is so resonant and reactive that I swear this guitar talks to me just holding it in my hands.

My friend???s wife recalls her husband???s joy the day it arrived. The guitar was perfectly finished like an exotic, museum quality jewelry box, perfectly tuned and intoned right out of its case. I can vouch for his joy in the fact that I find myself staring in rapt amazement of the craftsmanship and shear beauty of its design. The action is comparable to a top of the line custom electric, low, fast and clean. The fretting: jaw dropping accurate with the lightest touch.

I put away my custom shop Taylors, Martins and Gibsons??? This Magnum Jumbo guitar does it all??? The case is really top of the line, outstanding looks and very study with a built in moisture gauge.

I recently contacted the factory about general upkeep, strings and electrification. They were very helpful, recommending a Fishman Matrix I under-saddle pick up system and Elixir Nanoweb Light Strings. Hearing my story of how I got it, they sent me their recommended cleaner and fret wiper. I'm in the process of ordering a Magnum Opus Reserve model J 7002K and can't wait for the day I get to experience the joy of opening my present.

After 40 years of playing and collecting, this guitar manufacturer has come out of the blue and, in my humble opinion, has deservedly taken first place in quality, design esthetics and performance... When I go, my kids can have my collection. But unlike my dear friend who thoughtfully and thankfully passed it on, I???m taking my MO with me.
