My wife may leave me, but I had to do it. After receiving my first Magnum Opus MJ-325 series, I almost immediately ordered my 2nd MJ-300CW2 - all Claro Walnut Medium Jumbo and I'm glad I did. This thing is a joy to behold! Dual abalone rings with ebony center ring displaying hand-engraved Koa leaves. Very tasty rosette! Other inlay work includes Walnut, Koa & Maple short vine on fretboard and also triple wood inlay MO Torch in headstock. The fretboard and headstock also have Koa purfling. The body, fingerboard and headstock have genuine Ebony binding which really "pops" off the Master grade Walnut guitar. For my money, this is the most beautifully designed Walnut top, back and sides acoustic I've ever seen. The inlay work is just enough without being gaudy like most manufacturer's attempts when they adorn their Presentation models. Magnum Opus does it with pure elegance.

The sound is perfect for my taste. I wouldn't change a thing on this instrument. I think MO must tune the soundboards/bracing on their guitars to create the magic they produce. Both of my MO's sustain forever, yet the clarity is defined without those unwanted overtones. I agree with Premier Guitar magazine's comment that they sound like a grand piano. You simply have to play one.

Not a single flaw - as with my first Magnum Opus. Perfect action and intonation straight out of the box. The neck profile is the most comfortable I have ever experienced, and the satin finish on neck is a real winner. The Walnut is to die for and the gloss finish is perfect.

I'm relatively sure that this guitar will out live me. Magnum Opus guitars are built for serious professionals, i.e., recording, touring and most importantly - inspiring one to create their own Magnum Opus. In my case, I have already written some of the best songs of my life with my MO's. They inspire me with their playability and their amazing tone. In fact, when I put it down for a little break it continues to inspire me as I gaze at it.

This is my 2nd Magnum Opus and I love it! I've been playing professionally for decades now and I have played pretty much every acoustic model built - certainly by all they major manufacturers. I've owned dozens of high-end Martins and presentation model Taylors, master series Breedloves, Santa Cruz, Larrivees, Bourgeois and many others, but nothing and I mean nothing does it for me like Magnum Opus.

Most beautiful dream guitar I have ever seen. Made of Claro (California) Walnut top ,back and sides. Its a Medium Jumbo cutaway. All solid woods
The neck all the way to the head stock is one piece made of African mahogany with an ebony fretboard.ebony bridge, bone nut and saddle. The body ,headstock and fretboard are bound ebony binding. Its all hand made
Incredible inlays and not over kill. Stunning drop dead gorgeous. Ebony tuning pegs. No electronics however I will be researching for the best to install. I have put it up to a mike and nice PA and it sounds fantastic. I am afraid to ding it against the mike so I will be installing a nice pickup. Made in 2006 or 2007.

Here is the reason i could not live without her."the Sound" Took about 30 seconds to realize I had better sell some of my vintage Martins and get this guitar. Very very clear Lows Middle and Highs. I can tell you this, if you play a Magnum Opus you wont want any thing else. If you are not rich
you'll probably do the same as me and sell your prized possessions. I like finger picking similar to Mark Knofpler and Stevie Ray Texas blues.
I know they use electrics but sure sounds sweet on this guitar. Glen and Stuart from the Eagles have them. I am already trying to figure how I can get another with out the wife finding out.

Its all quality. YOU would be heart broke if it were damaged so you might not want to take it on to many gigs. However it feels durable.

Been playing aprox 35 years
I wish i had another one or 5 or 6.
Apart from my 65 foot boat I use to have this is my best possession.
If you had this custom made in the USA it would cost about $20,000.
