Ist guitar I received was very poorly setup.Ovation replaced the guitar but I had to pay shipping.2nd guitar was OK but a little later required Major Fretwork...which Ovation did but I had to pay shipping both ways.....Ovation service is very good BUT>>>>They should not charge return shipping on warranty repairs.Customer Service reps are very good.

I'm not sure I would buy another but now that Ovation finally got it right...After 5 months and as I mentioned before...Paying the shipping costs both ways!!!
A fun reliable guitar despite my having some problems...I love it.

It sounds awesome. I play at church and plug in direct to the board. Sounds awesome unplugged to. Best sounding Ovation I have ever played. I had a Martin I sold to buy this. You know how it is. You are perfectly happy with your current guitar. Go to a store just to look and you find the one you just have to have. This was it. I am happy with the decision.

I had origanlly gotten a black one, but the finish ws flaud. I sent it back and they sent me a red one. That is fine. I like the red better. Action was fine as it came. Construction ws top notch.

I have been playing for 27 years and have had lots of guitars. Taylors, Martins, ect. This Ovation is my only guitar and I am very happy with it. I don't see myself getting another. But you never know. That could change the next time I go to a guitar store.

This is the latest in the line of roundback Ovation guitars. It has a AA grade spruce top, mid depth body, scalloped LX bracing, 5 piece neck, bound ebony fingerboard, gold ping tuners, ebony bridge, original patented pickup, OP-Pro preamp with tuner, and straplock strap buttons. A really well built guitar that looks flawless to me.

This Ovation features a couple of features which really help it to sound great. One is the scalloped bracing. This really allows the top to sing, and the guitar has lots of volume with a deep wonderful tone. The other is the new bowl design. The bowl uses glass microsphere technology to increase projection and strength while reducing weight. This is one wonderful sounding guitar. It is bright, yet when played softly it is mellow as they come. If you have never tried an LX, you will notice the sound.

This is the only area of the guitar I have problems with. I play very softly, and I like the action as low as it can go. The guitar came from Ovation with high action and the nut was not cut very low. I had the nut slots cut down, and I took out a shim under the bridge. It still feels kind of weird to me. I think it is more the shape of the neck that I am having trouble getting use to. I like the old Ovation V shaped neck. The Legend LX neck is more of a round shape. I wish it had the more V tapered neck, but that is just my preference. All in all it does play well, but not as well as my older model 1657 Anniversary Ovation does.

Ovations are very well built guitars. I take it easy on them, but I know that they are tough. The finish is flawless, so I expect it to stay that way for a long time. The rosette is beautiful. And it has some of the best fret work I have ever seen on any guitar. I am a music minister at church, and I use it all the time without a backup. To sum it up, I totally trust this guitar.

As much as I like the guitar, there is one area where Ovation is the best. That is customer support. Both Kim Keller and John Budny have been more than nice to me. I can usually get either one on the phone and they will spend as much time as needed answering my questions. Kim is also one of the funniest guys you would meet. I can't say enough about these guys. The guitar has a limited lifetime warranty, so I feel good about its long future.

I have been playing for 25 years now, and I have always used just Ovation guitars. They just feel right to me, and they sound so good in church. I really love the Legend LX. If it just had a more V tapered neck it would be the perfect acoustic for me. I don't even want to think about it being stolen. I would try my best to get another one right away. I think this guitar will attract more people to Ovation guitars. It has the look, and does it have the sound.
