Thin body style...AAA sprice top (they say 1 in 100 is good enough...anyone else know?) The electronics are superb. The unit has a built in chromatic tuner, notch filter, 5 band eq, and get this...Phantom Powered Balanced Out - in addition to hi-z. It has non-locking tuners, but the guitar never goes out of tune. Aesthetically it is a work of art. It is a deep wine red color with hand laid abalone (mother of pearl) all around. Tuners are 24k plated, and the 3 peice neck is satin smooth. I really love this guitar. It is like a child to me.

This guitar almost seems like it was made for me. I swith between my thinline Celebrity deluxe and this, but there is no doubt which is the better guitar. Anyone who plays it falls in love immediately. It sounds truly amazing, especially compared to other electro-acoustics. You can tell Ovation went to town on the electronics. I typically don't like electro-acoustic guitars. This one really has an acoustic tone to it...although it NEEDS fresh strings. Dead string ruin this guitar.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action from the factory was a bit lousy...but that was easily remedied, and now the strings hover graciously close to the frets without a slight hint of buz. I think it cost me 69 bucks to have it set up, and it has been perfect since. I still think my Celebrity Deluxe plays better (slightly better action) but this guitar is a perfect blend of playability and great sound. The hardware and wood wre all perfect in my opinion.

I'll let the guitar answer that one with a resounding yes. I have played several gigs with this guitar, and without a back-up I might add. I don't beleive it will ever fail me. KEEP EXTRA BATTERIES AROUND THOUGH! The chromatic tuner really chews 'em up. A great guitar is useless if it can't be heard!

This is my favorite guitar in the world. If it were lost I would do my best to replace it, but I have played others that are the same mdoel and the magic just wasn't there. Maybe it's a setup issue because mine needed work at first too, but as far as I'm concerned the guitar is irreplaceable. Is it possible to get a one of a kind?
