Mine is a 2002 model which was bought as a second (dimples in the graphite top) It has Ovation OP40 electronics which include an onboard tuner - I used to think that was a gimick but I've sort of come to rely upon it now. It has a unidirectional Graphite top with the mid depth Ovation Bowl. The style of the whole guitar is very plain no Ovation rosette round the centre soundhole no fingerboard markers no glam mother of pearl. Comes in standard Ovation hard case

Sound suits me as the bass is not overpowering but it's tone is unique and better than any other Ovation I've had or currently got. I play it acoustically mainly but it sounds superb through my Zoom 504 pedal and I'm looking to upgrade to an AG Stomp. I find that the guitar suits my style - so much so that it has made my previously supreme Custom Legend very 2nd best
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action is superb fretboard is a dream with a slightly less fat feel than my other Ovations. As I said the Guitar was a second but I can see past the cosmetics especially as it sounds and plays so well.
Reliability/Durability

This guitar is very rugged and I reckon the Graphite will last better than a straight spruce top. I'd never gig without a backup but realistically nothing comes close to it in terms of feel so I would have to have another !

I've been playing about 35 years and this is the best acoustic guitar I have played, the feel of the neck is what I really like, as well as it's acoustic balance. I've played Ovations for over 20 years and this is best. I didn't think that I would really prefer this guitar to my Custom Legend and my original Legend but the Legends are probably going up on ebay to fund something else
