Sound : 10
I needed a new guitar for playing in church (through good quality PA) and general playing at home & about. But I wanted something that sounded a bit funky/zingy I can't quite find the right word but thinner and more percussive than the standard jumbo acoustic. Something that would sit well in a full band mix without mashing up with all the bass from the keys, voices & bass guitar etc.

So I spent a morning at my local music shop where I must have tried at least 30 guitars. There were just 2 that really grabbed me, one was a Martin 000X (I think) which I loved, but it was right at the top of my price range and had no electrics. The other was this Ovation Celebrity CC28 which was a little more than 1/2 the price of the Martin.
It looks absolutly stunning with black/grey sunburst maple & gold machines etc. The sound is exactly what I wanted and when its plugged in it really comes to life. It only has simple vol/bass/middle/treble but they are very effective as is the digital tuner. It is loads of fun to play although the action could be just a little lower for my liking to be perfect as I come from a lead guitar backgorund & like to do runs & fills on my acoustic too.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
As described above, action is a little high for me but I am going to get it adjusted. Finish & quality it first class.
One of the very few guitars in the shop I tried that had perfect intonnation all the way up the fretboard. And that includes Takamines, Taylors (I tried 01 and 02 models), Fenders, Guild, Ibanez

Reliability/Durability : 9
I haven't tried dropping it yet but it seems very well put together and I believe these bowl back guitars are supposed to be able to take a knock or two.
Seems to stay in tune very well.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar since I was 4 years old and that was a very long time ago. Mostly 6 string electric & bass but I know a good guitar when I pick it up & play & this is one.
There are no doubt better guitars around but not for GBP 329.
This guitar can be got for less online, if you don't mind not playing the instrument before you buy it.
