Features : 9
This Ovation is an Korean Made Celebrity CC65 12 String guitar. This guitar has no features at all, its a good designed electric acoustic 12-string with a simple tone and volume controls on the upperside of the body. The neck has 20 frets which are in a very good state. The date of build is unknown to me due to the fact I can't find any reference to the date based on the serial numbers on the web. The neck is the thing I love on this guitar, Ovation seems to use some kind of special finish so the neck feels like satin and plays great. The guitar was bought from someone including a guitar case (not original). The tuners are simple but they work, after the guitar was bought I had to fasten the screws to get stable string tension.

Sound : 9
It plays great, the sound is very bright and full. And playing with the guitar is just a wonderfull experience. The string action is just a little bit to high but I intent to change that in the future by adjusting the truss rod.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The finish and all the fretwork are still in wonderfull shape, there are no signs of wear so I think this Celebrity wasn't played much the last years. The bridge is well designed and the saddle is the only thing I questioned its setup. The E, A, and D strings run through the headsock saddle at another hight than the octave string. I dont know if this is a standard setup for an Ovation. I also don't know the meaning of this setup, but that van be my lack of knowledge. Due to the fact that the strings have an action that is rather high there is no sign of noisy strings when you play.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The durability is fantastic, the plastic bowl cab handle more violence that the wooden ones from other guitars. The rosette is is perfect state, the same as the whole guitar. I didn't use this guitar in a live gig until now, it suits me for playing at home. The finish is perfect, and I think this guitar is several years old, there are no scratches or whatever noticable. The strap butons at the botom of the guitar is ok, the one at the neck position is fitted under the neck(when I'm in standing position with the guitar around my neck).

Customer Support : 7
Never had to deal with customer support. I would like some more information on serial numbers from ovation. I can't seem to find this information on the ovation web site.

Overall Rating : 9
This guitar palys great, there are no scratches or other noticable visual remarks. The action is the only thing I will change in the near future.
