Subjective, eh? Jumbo, big but not as big as a J200. Beautiful wood; Sitka top, flame maple back and sides, maple neck, rosewood fretboard. All solid wood. Not gaudy fancy like a J200, simple fancy like a J40. Nicely bound top, bottom, neck, and headpiece. Satin finish. No electronics. Korean. One ding for the bridge pins. Pretty, but they have a hole through the pin itself that you run the string through and then stick it in with the groove to the back instead of toward the neck. I know. They get jammed in pretty tight after a while, one just sorta exploded coming out last time I changed the strings. Will be replacing them all by and by. Dunno what the hell they were thinking. Bridge pins are not rocket science. Everything else is working just fine. No strap button on the neck, of course. No pickguard. If you're a flatpicker you might want to correct that, maybe with a nice clear Tacoma pickguard.

Sound : 8
It sounds good. Pretty balanced tone for a jumbo but not particularly loud, though a medium flat pick might change that. Good treble and midrange, bass seems to be more influenced by the string choice than usual. Martin's Clapton strings work well if you need a place to start. I'm an amateur finger picker, on what we used to call folk music back in the day. It would be a nice blues machine too.
I tried a couple Parkwood mahogany dreads at GC a while ago and didn't care for the sound. This one I like. A lot.
I'm thinking of adding an internal mike, like a Seagull quantum or sumpthin. I think it would sound really good with that. Not a pickup, a mike. Just a hunch.

I bought it used from Elderly on a whim and on the internet. The setup was good but I don't know if that was from the factory or not. Probably yes since it didn't seem to have been played much. Again, the pins are problematic but not expensive to replace. The tuners work well but some are stiffer than others. Not a big deal, but noticeable. The wood, again, is beautiful and workmanship seems to be very good.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Dunno. Seems study enough. Time will tell. I'm not worried about stuff starting to fall off of it. Well, there's those bridge pins...

Tricky. When I tried to go to the website for support about the broken bridge pin my browser fired off all kinds of malware warnings and pretty much refused to go there. Still does. Hmmm. If true that's bad. It's the only site it's ever done that on. Finally found their support email address from MySpace or something and wrote asking how I would go about getting some new pins. Not free, I'd pay for them. Never heard back from them. So, support seems to be shaky at best. We are not dealing with C.F. Martin here. But then we knew that going in. Of course, bridge pins are widely available and I'm not sure I want more of theirs anyway. They are pretty, nice inlay. Maybe I could fill in the hole with epoxy or something. If I could get more which apparently I can't.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing off and on for 25 years or so. Have few Tacomas, couple Seagulls, a Garrison, and this. I wish I had asked to see the bridge pins, but who would think to ask that? If it were lost/stolen I'd get another. In fact I'm looking for another now just to be safe. Since I got it I have hardly touched the others. Obviously I have fallen in love with the damned thing. Why I can't really say, it just wants me to play it and I play it better than any of my other guitars. It fits. It's comfortable. My fingers land where they're supposed to. It sounds better than I expected it to. Just chemistry I guess. If you see one try it out, but be sure you can afford to buy it before you pick it up. You should be able to find one in the $300 - $400 range for now but it's a discontinued model in the U.S.

Solid spruce top with solid flamed maple back and sides. One piece (I believe to be) maple neck. Body is a jumbo but not as large as a J-200. Tuners are grovers with ebony pegs. Came with a nice gig bag. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

Sound : 9
I strum and fingerpick. This guitar is good for both. I usually don't like maple guitars. The base end usually sounds thuddy. Not this guitar. Very balanced sound. It is not the loudest guitar on the block, probably average in that respect. But for the money, a great bargain.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar was set up perfectly when I received it from Guitar Center. I don't know if it was that way from the factory or whether Guitar Center adjusted it. My guess is the factory. No flaws on the guitar cosmetically at all. Beautiful book matched flamed maple. Perfect to look at.

Just bought it. I believe it has a lifetime warranty.

I have been playing since I was 15 and collecting for the last twenty years. I am 52. If stolen, I would find another. I love the look, feel and sound. I compared it to Gibsons and Martins. It compared favorably to guitars costing 4 times as much.

The guitar is all solid wood. The top is a beautiful Sitka Spruce. The sides and back are solid Flamed Maple. It has an open pore finish. Complete with a bound 1 piece Mahogany neck including a Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar has ebony Grover tuners. Comes complete with a beautiful heavey duty gig bag. On the surface this is a plain looking guitar. If you look closer you get a lot ofor your money.

I play electric by trade...A journeyman if you will. This acoustic brings the range of sound one would expect from a guitar that costs in the thousands. This guitar booms with expressive highs and deep lows. The mid range is far from boxy. When shopping for a jumbo I sat across from my friend and we did a little bit of dueling guitars. His weapon of choice was a used Guild F50(I own one too) and mine was the Parkwood PW340FM. Let me say this. Although to the trained professional you could hear the slight defference between the two. The Parkwood held its own. Especially againts a guitar that sold for at least 3 times the price. To the untrained ear or the leighperson these guitars were equals. From finger picking to nose picking the sound just projected unlike any other guitar in it's price range.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar was flawless. The action was as close to perfect as you could ask. The finish was outstanding. I could not find one thing that I would gig this guitar on.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar has the "talent" to be a main stay in the stable. It seems to be well constructed. The one thing about all wood guitars is that you need to pamper them in respect to humidity. They are wood and demand the respect that you would give a beautiful woman. I treat all my guitars better than I treat my women. And that is saying alot.

The Warranty is lifetime as long as you don't use it. Just kidding. It has a lifetime warranty against workmanship and defects. That's good enough for me.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since the age of 9. I am now 40 something. I own Martin's, Taylor's, Guild's, Ernie Ball Music Man, Ibanez's. If somebody attempted to steal this guitar from me they would have to pry it from my cold dead hands. This guitar has become a quick favorite to me. I love that the guitar has such a great sound. It really kicks tail. The one thing I wish this guitar possesed was abalone markers. This guitar for the price was heads and bums above all the others I played. Infact the price is what won me over.
