Features : 8
2006, Gloss finish, all solid woods, cedar top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, great construction, nice playable neck and decent tuners. It has a couple of tiny finish flaws - a bubble and a run. This guitar was made in Spain. Purchased with a TKL hardshell case. Note that this is a 640mm scale classical, 10mm shorter than a full-size.

Sound : 7
I play classical style, but I am a student, not an accomplished musician. Nevertheless, I have played hundred of accoustic guitars. The Pavan has a rich and lively tone quality, but it is not as well balanced as I would like. The bass is slightly weak, as is the third string. I waited six months to submit this review, thinking the balance might improve, but it didn't. The overall sound has come out considerably, but the balance is the same. There are moments when I am playing and wish the low e would boom out to match the rest of the instrument and it dissapoints me.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Overall looks great and stands up very well. A fine-looking instrument. But closer examination reveals a couple of finish flaws.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I'm confident it will last a lifetime. It also has a lifetime warranty.

Customer Support : 10
Tom Prisloe is a great guy, very helpful.

I've been playing different styles for ten years, but I am self-taught. If I were to lose this guitar and have to buy another, I would save another $1000 and buy a Harvest. I played one the other day and it blew me away. Perfect balance, power and great playability. I chose the Pavan based on Internet reviews.
