I was looking for a basic acoustic guitar, what I found was the best guitar value ever.
A single cutaway solid spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, and a 3 band EQ. What more do you need?

Sound : 8
This guitar sounds great un-plugged and even better plugged-in. The EQ lets you adjust just about any sound you are looking for. It is a little on the bright side, I quit using a pick and started strumming with just my fingers and this combination works very well for this guitar. I have used this guitar for recording and in live situations with a vocal group

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action is excellent. I actually put on heavier strings because the thing played so well.
In the looks dept. the guitar holds up pretty well. Nice gloss finish on the body with a satin finish on the neck. This guitar also has some tastefully applied inlays around the body and soundhole.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I have owned this guitar for one year and I think they did a very good job putting it together. I play it very often and it has never given me any problems. The die-cast tuners do a more than adequate job keeping things in tune. I always bring extra strings but I haven't broken any yet.

Korean-made, don't know when. 20 frets with cutaway. Nice solid spruce top that does wonders for resonance. Comes with a Piezzo EQ-505R pickup with Treb, Mid, and Bass tone controls that are decently responsive, plus, of course a volume knob. Body is mahogany with gloss, with a cool emerald-colored rossette. The whole guitar looks really good. the neck is satin with rosewood fingerboard and has a very nice feel (one of the reasons I went with this guitar). The bridge is a regular acoustic one with a bit of compensation for the top two strings. Sealed die-cast tuners. The satin-gloss transition could have been made a little smoother, though. You plug it in right throught the bottom strap button, which is pretty cool. It also has a top strap button in case you forgot your acoustic strap - not very comfortable, though.

Sound : 10
The main reason I bought this guitar to have something to plug into at my church (we cover a lot of ground, mainly modern, though). Now I use it for just about anything, though. It works great for fingerstyle stuff. Sounds great by itself, but it will blow you away once you plug it in. I run it through a Mesa Rocket 44 (good luck trying to find one in your local store) and it has never given me one bit of bad feedback and even sounds great with distortion. Sometimes I wish the tone was a little less bright. Other than that, it's pretty adjustable. It can sound real percussive for that Dave Matthews vibe or nice and mellow, though no matter what it always sounds a bit twangy. I suits my style perfectly, wich is something like Dave Matthews meets Steppenwolf meets the Smashing Pumpkins.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action is good for what I do, but horrible for slide. When I first got the guitar it was set up with 12's and it didn't sound as percussive as I wanted it so I moved up to 13's and it sounded better, but it didn't do much of a difference so I went back 'cause it was eating up my fingernails.

Very solidly built. I've had it for 6 months and it looks just like it did the first day. The pickup jack has started to give me some noise lately, but I think I can fix that easlily. It definetly withstands live playing. Finish wears off a bit where the pickguard would be if it had one, but that's something that can be expected. I use it a lot so it has a ton of minuscule scratches all over the place, but nothing noticeable from more than a foot away. the pickup buttons don't look as solid as they would on an electric, but the're pretty good compared to other ones I've seen. I can certainly depend on this guitar, but I always like to have a backup 'cause I play so hard I'm extremelly likely to break a string.

Haven't had to deal with Peavey, though I've heard great stuff about them and I wouldn't have my doubts on them should something go wrong.

Been playing (seriously) for about 4 1/2 years and this is my first acoustic electric. I own a couple of classicals, but I haven't really played them a lot since I got this one. This guitar is just so fun to play. If it were stolen, I'd definetly get another one, but not before checking out the rest of the lineup of Peavey acoustics. I certainly wish I would have done this before buying this one. Peavey is THE most underrated guitar company out there, which is great 'cause I would have had to pay more than $1000 for one this quality from a more commonly known brand. I had it narrowed down to either this one or a Takamine EG-541C but the latter didn't have a solid top and that made all the difference. What I love about this guitar the most is how it allows me to blend traditional folk sounds with more modern tones. I definetly encourage all of you to at least check one out.
