Features : No Opinion

Sound : 10
All graphite soundboard mad in U.S.A. projection tuned layering
detailed tone, Laminated Mohogany body, Truss rod reinforced neck
Yes it is assembled in Korea but only to manufacturers specification.
Beautiful iridescent black graphite weave and suspended rosette, also pearl inlays. Clean detailed sound. Clean crisp tone. I would definately rate it a 10 and a epiphone a 5. Gotta disagree with the last guy.

defines true sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
action awesome. Bridge ebony and smooth

Reliability/Durability : 10
Hardware come on, Grover tuners, Fishman under the saddle pickup and graphite handcrafted, made in U.S.A. soundboard developed by Rainsong.
Who cares where it was assembled, this is a product of the good ole US of A Baby.
AWESOME

Customer Support : 10
Never needed repair but very friendly on questions

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing for 24 years. Have a True American Guild with Ebony fretboard and bridge, a Takamine made in japan and Carvin 1999 Electric DC127 with all KOA body and matching KOA headstock. Don't wish I asked anything when I first bought this guitar. Paid 1200.00
new and don't feel like I wasted a dime. Now that they didn't make alot of these, and also that they are not distributing anymore can only make them collectable in the future. AMEN
One of my better sounding guitars.

This guitar is made in 2003,and being the Rainsong projection series,it is made in Korea. The claim is the graphite top is made in the states.I had purchased this guitar sight unseen, having heard of the fine sound and craftsmanship, but truth be told,I have seen better work on a $200 Epiphone. The tone of the instrument is very good, maybe a little tinny, but still nice. comes with a Mahogany neck and sides, this being the less costly aspect, according to the company paperwork..The fishman electronics are top of the line. Grover tuners would do the job fine,if they could figure out how to mount them straight.Comes with a hardshell case that is nice, except mine happened to come with a 1 inch hole in it.

Sound : 7
I play mostly acoustic rock, with some country once in awhile, and this guitar would suit those needs fine.Has a really nice bright full sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
This guitar was set up very poorly from the factory.I have a number of high end guitars, they cost more than the rainsong p-series,but for $900.00,I expect better than this. The action, was very, very high.I know this is an easy enough fix,but it should be better than this.Looking at the headstock, all of the tuners were mounted crooked,1/4 inch clockwise, with the e string peg a full 1/4 inch counter-clockwise.The finish on the bridge is really lousy, looking as if it is old and weathered. Not enough care given to this detail.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I think this guitar would be very reliable, with the graphite top, grovers, and bone nut.I don't think a back-up would be needed.Finish looks to be very sturdy.

Customer Support : 5
Company was not very responsive to my complaints.I even sent them photos of the poor quality craftsmanship. They offered to replace the guitar, but their was no guarantee the next would be better than the first.I guess I will not buy a guitar sight unseen again,no matter what the claims.

Overall Rating : 3
I have been playing for ten years, and have never recieved a guitar this poor brand new.If it was lost,I would hope the insurance was paid up.I may consider one of their U.S built guitars, and even asked about a trade up from the company, but they would not hear of it.The tone of this instrument is very good, but the way it was built and the cost just don't cut it.Good luck to all of you reading this, and I hope it is only a defect in the korean built p-series.
