2003 Maple Parlor Model. The onboard preamp is a Fishman and does a very nice job live. The entire body is satin finish (even the carbon top). Accessories were all the adjustment tools and instructions along with a goody bag of RainSong stuff.
The back/sides/neck are Korean made. The carbon fiber soundboard is USA made.

Excellent sound. I use alittle reverb. Not noisy. It has more of a full should in comparison to my RainSong WS-1000. The WS-1000 has the typical sparkle, where as this parlor guitar has more midrange output. I enjoy it a lot.

The guitar was flawless. The action was medium. Really, it was in excellent shape for a mostly import guitar.

My big worry is the finish, otherwise it is built REALLY solid. I have gigged with it numberous times without a backup. Just a really great guitar that I will have forever. Seriously I can't imagine getting rid of it.

I've contacted Jeanie at RainSong many times over the past 6 years. Their lifetime warranty is the real deal. They have replaced guitars for me before. Excellent.

Overall this is an excellent acoustic guitar for ANYONE. I have been gigging on the road for 6 years. I have been playing for 12. There are more fancy guitars. There are better sounding instruments. The thing is that they aren't built as well and frankly for $400, this is a steal. I don't like the finish, but other than that, wonderful. My main comparisons were Larrivee, Washburn, Martin, Tacoma and Seagull. As I have said, there are slightly better sounding instruments, but not at this price and not $300 better.
Flat out excellent value for a road musician.

parlor style. composite top made by rainsong in the usa. back and sides are laminated mahogany on this model (maple and rosewood also available). although the top is made in the usa the rest of the guitar comes courtesy of korea. final setup and inspection is supposed to be done in the usa.
includes fishman classic 4 preamp.

this guitar has a balanced sound. not heavy on the bass or treble to my ears. it projects very well and has a good amount of volume for this body size. i'm sure that's due to the composite top.
as far as i know it's only available with the fishman classic 4 preamp and pickup system already installed. this wouldn't be my first choice for electronics but i was pleasantly surprised that it will do just fine. the composite top must also help out the electronics. much better than i'd expected.

i'm not sure waht the factory setup was like since i bought it from elderly instruments. they setup instruments before selling them. their setup is fine. i might lower the action a touch but it's not bad where it's at.
the guitar seems to be constructed well. i can't find anything wrong with that.

should be very durable since the back and sides are laminate and the top is composite. no worry with the top sinking or anything.
the hardware seems solid.
i'd say this is definitely a gig and road worthy guitar.
