Bell brass body--nickel silver plating--bone nut--maple and ebony saddle--adjustable trussrod--mahogany neck--rosewood fretboard--handspun German made cone. Finished in a nicely reliced (not overdone) manner. Instrument has a very subtle, tasteful engraving. Body style is like that of a 1934-36 National Style O w/ the 14 frets to the neck, flat headstock and crows foot coverplate design. Neck is rosewood w/ a ebony fingerboard. Gotoh tuners. Biscuit bridge and reliced, trapezoid tailpiece. Apparantly made in China but set up, tweaked and distributed in Texas. Republic obviously knew what they were doing and who they are appealing to, because they nailed it!

Sounds like a 1934 National Style O. Mind-blowing. 'Nuff said.

No doubt this guitar will perform nicely for decades to come. IMHO it seems much better put together and understood by the mfr than other imported resonator models.

Republic - and its owner Frank Hemsley - was fantastic to deal with. Very communicative by email and a real gentleman. Not sure of the warranty.

Been playing bottleneck/finger style blues off and on for about 15 years. As far as resonator guitars, I also own a Continental Style 3 Tricone and Dobro DM33 currently and have owned a National Triolian in the past. The Republic definitely keeps up with these - especially for the money! Go there now buy one!
