I have 3 copies of Rickenbacker Guitars two of them are 325 and the last one I bought was a 330 copy. The Finish is very good. the body is made of maple. And the neck is set in Rosewwod just like on the Rckenbacker. It's not a real Rickenbacker but it sound 90% like one I wish I could buy a real rick but in these times I can't.They also make it in 12 String which I have ordered and should have it in a few weeks

Mine is a 1998 with a natural maple finish. The body style is quite different from the Tele's that i normally play, so the extra bulk takes a little time to adjust to.Having said that, once you do, its really quite comfortable. As everyone knows, the necks are fairly slim, but having short fingers, it suits me perfectly. Im not sure what type of pickups Rickenbacker put in these, but having been down the 'pickup upgrade' route too many times, after 25 years Ive come to the conclusion that a good guitarist can make the sh----st pickups sound great! There are 2 individual tone and volume controls, and a blend control. There is also a Gibson style 3 way switch.

Like no other.Over the last 25 years Ive had almost every guitar known to man and Ive always reverted back to Teles.I just joined up with a group of fellow wrinklies playing mainly 60's style pop and the Tele just wasnt quite right. I tried a Strat, then a 335, but again, not what I was looking for. Then someone said,'shame we havent got a Rickenbacker'.Next day I decided to try and get one and eventually found this maple one. despite having to sell 3 other guitars to pay for it,I couldnt be more pleased. The tone is rich and clean, even playing through my 15 watt Laney Linebacker tranny it sounds great. Play it through a Twin, or better still - and a darn site cheaper, a Peavey Duece, and it makes the hairs on your neck stand on end. I had a '61 Gretch Single Aniversary, but the 330 just demolishes any memory of it.

No idea of the factory set up, but Ive not touched it since the day I got it and it plays great. Very low action and great fret access. I love the natural maple finish against the white plastic control plate. Im sure there are probably a few minor flaws here and there, but so what?

Made in '88 and still going strong. You should always take a back up even if its for just in case a string breaks, it doesnt hurt to have a spare.

Is anything a perfect 10? It depends on what you want from a guitar. If, like me,you want the cleanest, richest tone possible and with,IMO, fabulous looks, then yes, I'll give it a 10. Im sure improvements are possible, but Im not that anal to worry about it.Ive owned too many guitars including at least 12 Strats and as many Teles from 70's USA made,JV's,Tokais,Schecters, 2x'60's 335's,a couple of early 70's SG's. Hofners,Ibanezs's, Penco's - you name it. The Rickenbacker stands out because its a Rickenbacker. It doesnt sound like anything else. Ive read countless reviews saying that this blows that away, and 'my Greco kills any Les Paul' etc etc. Its all rubbish.Having been playing since the early 60's when all we could get were things like cheap Futurama's and Framus guitars which you could slice cheese with, most modern guitars, say from when the Japanese got on the scene in the late 60's, play and sound good and its the player that is the real difference. I was at a guitar show about 12 years ago, and I heard this amazing guitar being played. It turned out to be a Korean Strat. Only it was being demo's by Leslie West! The bottom line is, nothing but a Rickenbacker sounds like a Rickenbacker - I love my 330,[the 360 doesnt appeal as much in terms of looks, it seems to lack the agression of the 330], and would get another if mine got damaged or stolen. Once youve had one, there's no going back.
