This has a solid cedar top, rosewood sides and back. Very nice gloss finish. Nice 18 fret neck for a classical guitar. Strings set low without any buzz. Gold tuners of an unknown brand, however they work very smooth and stay in tune once the nylon is properly stretched.

Sound : 8
For an inexpensive classical guitar, it has nice bright highs and a very rich bass. It seems to be true all the way up the neck.
I wanted to start playing classical guitar after many years with electrics and acoustic. I think this will satisfy any beginner or intermediate player. I replaced the factory strings with LaBelle right after I got it and it does make a difference you can hear.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
This guitar was a factory second marked as used on the head stock. If there is a flaw on this guitar other than the rough finish on the head stock slots, I can't find it.
The frets and neck are set as they should be. Nice smooth, low action.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I would think this guitar will last me a long time. The finish should hold up well if it is properly maintained. (I have a 40 year old Gibson J-50 that looks like new) I believe you could play this live, however for that kind of gig, I would think you would want a really fine guitar, but this would do.

The construction is done very well and the top bracing allow for a good projection of sound.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Being a factory second I did not receive a warranty. For the price I paid, who cares? However, Samick is one of the largest manufactures in the world, so I would think they would be good.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing for a long time. Still not very good at it, but I enjoy playing. I still have my Gibson J-50 flat top, a Martin-Sigma DR-41, an old tank Eko Ranger 12 string that you could drive nails with and a Sunn electric. I have a Yahama C45 that I began playing with a few months ago, but it just didn't sound right. This one is great. If I lost it, I would try to replace, if the price was right.
