Features : 7
Solid spruce top. Blond satin finish. Dark red cherry laminate sides and back. Maple neck. Has Godin Q1 pickup with onboard tuner. Simple inlay fingerboard dots. Simple Seagull headstock logo and signature.
Built-in tuner seems accurate but could have been designed to be more "user friendly".

When searching for a new six string, I was prepared to buy a Larravee 03. However, after trying this guitar, I kept coming back to it, even after playing Larravees, Martins, and Taylors. I couldn't believe this guitar put out a sound like it did. Deep, rich bass like a Martin; sparkling highs like a Taylor. I wouldn't say the Seagull sounded better than a Martin or Taylor, but to my ears, it was just as good, for a heck of a lot less money. It definitely sounded better than the Larravee I was looking at. The Godin Q1 definitely sounded really nice, much better than the magnetic pickups I'm used to. This guitar sounds great strummed, flatpicked, or fingerpicked.I've got 18 years of playing and gigging experience, both in bands and solo. I know what sound I like and this is it. Others may not agree.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Guitar was set-up properly. Action was low, but not too low. No signs of glue drippings inside. Everything looks sound. Guitar top has a very clear line down the middle where the bookmatched halves meet. Most guitars I've seen blend the line a little better than this one, but its not a big deal; kind of adds character. Could be because of the satin finish.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I plan on using this for gigs. Other satin finish guitars I've had tend to show a wear mark on the top where my right arm rests. I expect this will to after time. Again, adds character. As usual with Seagull guitars, this is well made and I expect it to last for many, many years. My Seagull 12 string has lasted 17 years without so much as a neck adjustment or any other work to it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've e-mailed customer service a couple of times in the past for questions on my other guitars. They've responded within a few days.

Overall Rating : 10
I love the sound of this guitar! I could play it for hours on end. If it was lost or stolen, I definitely would look at replacing it, although I'm aware that 2 identical guitars may or may not sound the same. I'm more interested in searching for that elusive "sound" than I am name brands or price brackets. As far as I'm concerned, I went home that day with the best sounding guitar in that particular store, so I consider myself very lucky.

Satin Finish is super nice no flaws. Dreadnaught body style is a little different than other dreadnought designs but i think i like it better, Stock tuners were fine but i only use sperzels onmy guitars so i replaced them w/ sperzels the day i got the guitar. Has a very nice neck that is very wide compared to a taylor but feels like a les paul. Came with a hardshell case very nice. Solid spruce top is very nice has aged beautifully over 4 months of owning it. Was made in Canada, Just as Good if not better than a Taylor if you find one that you like. Has a Quantum 1 pickup system that sounds better than Taylor's ES system b/c it sounds fuller and is more flexible.
Top: SOLID SPRUCE
BACK AND SIDES: CANADIAN CHERRY LAMINATE THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A LAMINATE

Sound : No Opinion
I PLAY PRAISE AND WORSHIP AND ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO ME IT HAS A UNIQUE SOUND THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE YOU CAN PUT A RAND NAME ON IT WHICH IS COOL B/C TAYLORS HAVE A UNIQUE SOUND THAT I FINGF VERY TREBLE-LY SOMETIMES LACKING BASS RESPONSE. WOULD FIT ANY PLAYING STYLE. HAS A RICH FULL SOUND WITH AWESOME HARMONICS

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
