This series of guitar was apparently made in 1998/1999. It is hand crafted in Canada. It is a dreadnought with a cutaway made of Solid cedar top, solid maple back, laminate flame maple sides, mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Other features include a cutaway, preamp/pickup. Bad features would be the fret markers on the fretboard which are small dots making them hard to see.
Sound

This guitar suits my style of music which is mainly modern rock/pop and some fingerstyle. The cedar top gives a warm and full sound.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action is medium. The bookmatched top is perfect, I can hardly tell that they are two pieces. There were a few minor flaws I noted. First of all the B string buzzed when I played it open. I deepened the groove slightly at the bridge where the string sits and that seemed to fix that. There were also some finishing flaws where the back joined to the sides but nothing major.
Reliability/Durability

I've only had this guitar for a few days but it certainly looks relaiable and durable and I wouldn't hesitate to use it live. You would only need a backup if you were worried that the preamp/mic would fail on you.

I think the warranty on these guitars are 2 or 3 years. I emailed the company for more info on my guitar and I received a reply within 2 days.

I've been playing for about 6 years. This is my second acoustic guitar, my first was a yamaha laminate top. If it was stolen or lost I would buy it again because I don't think I could find a better value guitar with such a great sound. I compared it with some Washburns, Takamines, and some higher priced Matons and Martins and found the sound of the Seagull to be equal to or if not better than the others. The love the sound, the feel, the look and the smell (Cedar) of this guitar.
