Made in Canada. The top is solid cedar with the back and sides a laminate cherry. It has a body with a 12 15/16 inch lower bout & 9 1/4 inch upper bout. The scale is a full 25 1/2 inches. The previous reviewer has done an excellent job of providing the stats. A few years ago I would probably NOT have bought an acoustic with laminate back and sides except that this one sounds sooo good! Anyone who knows will tell you that it's the top that matters. My guitar teacher is one of those who put me onto this make for it's craftsmanship and amazing value. Last time I checked new ones are going for CDN$325 in Toronto.

This guitar sounds great! I was looking for a smaller body instrument but didn't want to sacrifice tone and response. Of course a dreadnaught has more bass response. Nothing I've heard yet beats it in this price-range. I put a small Audio Technica condenser mic near the bridge when I need more volume.

Very well made. The Godin Company has a well-earned reputation for quality.

After playing fingerstyle a few times I noticed that the cedar showed marks easily because of my baby finger resting on the top. Cedar is a softer wood than spruce, and since it comes without a pickguard I put a clear plastic one on. Otherwise, the guitar is solid and seems perfectly reliable. It's been played about 15 or 20 hours since I got it. The neck is straight. The guitar seldom goes out of tune.

No warranty on this used guitar that I know of.

I found a used one at a consignment store and knew I had to have it as soon as I played it. Been playing the acoustic guitar before the electric - about 30 years. I've owned Gibson, Yamaha, and Larrivee, all dreadnaughts. This one is just right for my style of playing, a combination of strumming with some arpeggio and travis picking. It's a great guitar for the price. I'd replace it if I had to. I'm still looking for another one that's somewhere between a dreadnaught and this, maybe an OM, that has a little more bass response.

Made in 1998, in Canada, connects at the fourteenth fret, solid, cedar top, all cherrywood construction, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. They call it grand but it really is a parlor sized (just what I wanted) guitar. Standard seagull tuners. Small tuner head buttons.

This guitar was a purchase on a lark. I'd never even seen a parlor guitar on sale at a guitar store. It has a sound that you would ezxpect from a small guitar. If one string or note is not spot on you really know it. But also, when the tuning is perfect it has a lovely sound. When I started using the guitar it became immediately apparent how effortless it was to play. This is the true advantage to this instrument. Uniquely, I tuned it down a step. WOW!!! That really toned down any tinniness the guitar exhibited before. This was a great little discovery. Martin SP 10s are what I use stock on all acoustics. Now I could sing velvety songs with a same type guitar voice. The sound is not a dreadnough sound. Many people want the big D sound. This guitar can be featured at it's strongpoint pronounced cutting sound. Listen to Joni Mitchell, Blue album for this sound. I don't really believe I could get through a sidewalk concert with this instrument but it could hold down ten to twentyfive percent of the material.

I bought this guitar on e-bay and looked for it with baited breath. The finish is quite good, simple, refined, smooth and practical. I'm not a heavy paint fan. If you were to pour all the paints glues and varnishes in one guitar into a cup it might shock you. The less the better and this guitar is a great example of that. I was impressed with buying a preowned instrument. The previous owner took good care of it and my luthier set it up. Yesseree. Just a dandy little guitar. Seagull's tusq saddle is great. They make a unit that addresses every string. No straight bar with the "B" angled. If this were a bone saddle it would be perfect. It is intonated perfectly. The small nob tuners are very good. I've never had to mess with them outside of the strings stretching. Small knobs mean less headstock wiegh; a real plus for a small acoustic. The fingerboard is marvelous. It reminds me of a Taylor or Tacoma. The Layout is the same, easy to figerpick, great to strum. The quality is very good. For an inexpensive unit it really is a great value especially considering it is domestic. This is the finest guitar you can buy in a laminate body and it is worth it. The Folks in Canada have making laminate bodys down to a fine art. They are very good at it and it shows in a guitar that could not be more perfect in its simplicity and design. This guitar has what is needed to be a good working unit.

I've owned more guitars than I can remember. I've been at it 35 years. I had a Tele ripped once and other guitars too. I replaced the telly. I think I would replace this guitar. I love the small size. It's so easy to strum it's like not even playing. The tinier sound is not as apealling to the listener. It's got a limited application. I'm going to install some electronics to amp it. It's easy to whip out and people are always curious about it's boutique size. A child could play it quite easily. If anything it could be billed as a ladies guitar. I like it for its ease. When a string goes out it has got to be tuned spot on immediatly. Its not gonna let you hide anything like a twelve string might.
