Canada - check out their site for more details.

I play some indie-pop along with some old classic covers like the Beatles. I am about a year into playing jazz guitar and learning a lot about music theory -so I also know a handfull of Jazz tunes. My last guitar teacher recommended upgrading my acoustic from a Washburn to a Seagull, and the difference is quite noticable. I bought both guitars for around the same price and because of craftsmanship and the fact that there isn't a heavy finish on the face of the Seagull it plays and sounds great.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I actually have to get this guitar set-up, but the factory set up is almost there. The action needs to be lowered a bit and I think they put a nut for a right-handed person on my left-handed guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 7
I actually had a S6+ before and the face of the guitar split on me within the first few weeks I had it. You have to be carefull with these guitars -especially if you live in the mid-west. Granted I probably f-ed up and didn't have enough humidity in the guitar. But the Customer Service was great the replaced. Make sure during the winter months that its in its case with a humidifier.

Customer Support : 9
When my 1st Seagul split after 2 weeks of owning it I sent it back and they replaced it which was cool. The only draw back was that I had to wait about 3 weeks for the replacement to come in.

I've been playing for 7 years and like I said I play some indie-pop along with some old classic covers like the Beatles. I am about a year into playing jazz guitar and learning a lot about music theory. the guitar came highly recommended - the sound is great, playablity is pretty good -its got a wide flat neck -I like the wider layout personally. I think the headstock on the guitar makes it really stand out aesthetically. The only cautionary statements about this guitar are that because of the next-to-no finish on this guitar you have to keep in mind humidity factors along the fact that it won't be as rough and tumble as some of the other thick finished guitars.

2000 Cedar top S6 (not a plus) HANDMADE in Canada. Standard number of frets for an acoustic. No Cutaway Solid Cedar top, Laminate Cherry Sides, Cherry Back, Maple Neck ,finished with a nice matte-like finish. Drednaught, with a compensated bridge, sealed chrome tuners (nice touch) Rosewood board. Rated a 10 because this is WHAT AN ACOUSTIC SHOULD HAVE for features. List on this axxe is $417.00

Sound : 10
This guitar sounds WONDERFUL. It has a sound all its own. And it's getting better, each and evertime I play it! It booms and has shimmering highs.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Gotta see this axxe to believe it ! this is a handmade guitar and it rivals anything out there in the $500.00 range. And it costs a little more than half the price !

Reliability/Durability : 10
Feels solid AND light ! I know that sounds impossible but these guys really have thier s#*t together. I would definitely use it out without a backup. The finish is the guitar, it is light but with the proper handling and care should last a lifetime.

Customer Support : 10
I give them a 10 because I know they are there. And they obviously CARE about the product they produce !!!

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing for 29 years, and I own several guitars. Among them are an Ovation Celerity Deluxe, 2 Fender Strats and a Hamer. If this axxe was stolen I would track down the perp. Beat him senseless and torture him until he bought me another seagull to replace it. The point here is that this is a real acoustic, made by folks who know what they are doing. The price makes it even better. I felt as though I stole this guitar. Buy one before these artists realize what they are producing and begin to CHARGE for it. Absoulutely a great guitar for the novice, intermediate, or advanced player. Buy a case for yours I did. Unfortunately the webdesigner didn't provide for an "11" rating for this (or any other) Category. The dealer gets a 10 too he stayed late to make the sale. And I'm sure at the price I paid he is'n vacationing in the Bahamas on this sale. Nice guy, courteous and helpful, without any pressure.

This is a Canadian made ceder solid top acoustic steel string guitar. Cherry back and sides. Dreadnought style. With nice tuners and a mahagony neck. Not all the fancy features though, not that they're necessary. =).

Sound : 10
I play mostly blues/folk on my acoustic, and this guitar is perfect for that. It doesnt have a cutaway, but thats okay, just cause its sounds so good! The place that I bought it at had a bunch of washburns, martins, and larivee's, and this guitar sounded better than the washburn or martin and almost as good as the $900 larivee.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action was set up perfectly, not to high, and none of the strings buzzed. Well, there was a small unoticible dent in the top, but that was caused after it left the factory and didnt affect the tone and I got $100 off the guitar for the blemish anyway so its all good.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Yes, this is a very sturdy guitar. The only thing I'm worried about is that the ceder top scratches easily. Everything is solid and I do use this upfront.

Customer Support : 10
Never had to deal with them, but I've heard their great.

Overall Rating : 10
If this guitar were stolen I would buy another one like it on the same day. I love it, nice nice nice tone, and good playability too. The price was just right too, $340 with a plush hardshell case... thats nice.

Solid cedar top acoustic with debogg built in amp..canadian made, same place that makes godins. its a heavy guitar relative to its size..

Sound : 8
it has a nice bright sound which is very good for finger picking, however it lacks that bassy warm sound of a tacoma(cost a hell lot more)..it doesnt have the thick chops of a gibson when you strum it..maybe with time it will..i like the sound but it lacks depth..i picked up a tacoma recently and fell in love with it.it had it all...retail 900, maybe i can wait...

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
the set-up was perfect, low action and not too low that you get that ring..very nicely built, i think seagulls are handmade..i am giving it a nine cos i got the cheaper model that didnt have the glossy finish...see what seagull does is put the moeny and work it what matters, which is the wood and sound of the guitar

Reliability/Durability : 10
this guitar is solid, its weighs alot for it size..there isnt too much of finish so you dont have to worry about damaging it..i dont know i would gig with it cos its kinda ugly, but hey it sounds pretty good..

Overall Rating : 8
i have been playing for a few years now..every kind of style, mostly rock..i got the guitar cos it's a solid guitar for the price you are paying..i have cheap strat, nice electric yamaha sbg700, 60v pignose amp, a classical guitar, and a few pedals..around 200 can get you the same guitar without the electronics..i dont recommend the built in electronic thing..it depends on your style, one kind of pickup doesnt suit everyone..seagull also have a great resale value..i checked what a used one was going for on Ebay, almost as much as new one..i give guitar an 8..pretty good value...you have to go play and judge for yourself..when i first played i loved it, lately i like other guitars more..thats why i am buying another one..you can never own too many guitars..

This a '99 Seagull S+6, and it was made in La Patrie, Canada. I'm guessing it has approximately 22 frets. Also it has a solid cedar top, laminated Wild Cherry back and sides, rosewood fingerboard, and Big Leaf Maple neck. It has no electronics :( but it atleast sounds better unplugged. It has a alchohol finish I believe on the guitar, and I'm sure it has a satin finish on the neck and back of the fingerboard. It has Seagull non-locking tuners, but they look good and will hold up well. All this came w/ a hardshell case, strap. tuner, and two sets of strings. Also, the guitar has a two year warrenty, and the shop I bought it from (Rockin' Robin) will perform free maintanence for a year.

Sound : 9
It sounds really good Period. It has a real warm sound b/c of the cedar top, and has a good blend of base, midrange, and treble. The action might be a bit high, but nothing of course a setup could fix.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The best thing about this whole guitar is the materials and workmanship. It was hand built in Canada. A lot better than Taiwan I'd presume. No visible flaws. I like the finish a lot b/c it isn't shiny and looks natural. Also sounds better.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This will definently hold up well. Only becareful w/ the finish b/c it is slightly delicate. I'd take it on a gig w/ out a backup anyday. The hardware is pretty durable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No experience w/ this but I'd expect to be good.

Overall Rating : 9
I love it. That's all
