This is my first seagull. To be frank I really had'nt heard of Seagull until a guy at the guitar shop suggested that I check one out. Mine is pretty new a '99 I think. As far as features, it's pretty plain. No electronics just plain acoustic.Thats why I gave it a Five. The finish is a high gloss. Very nice. The top is solid spruce, with mahogany sides, and a solid mahogany back. The attention to detail is impressive. I'm pretty picky and I can't find a flaw on this guitar. Very good workmanship. Mine has a honduras mahogany neck with a rosewood finger board. I did have problems with two of the tuning machines though. Seems as though they were "stripped" as they would turn abit before they would "catch " and begin to tune the string. I e mailed lasido and they sent me four replacement tuners no questions asked. I think that says alot. Overall It's a beautiful, hand crafted, plain dreadnought cutaway.

Awesome sound! My friend has a Martin Herringbone and he said he thinks my seagull sounds as good and maybe better than the Martin! What more can you say?!
Action, Fit, & Finish

As I said before the attention to detail is very impressive. The action seems a touch high. I suppose I may have it lowered later, but its not much of a concern as of now. The top is almost perfectly matched. It looks like a single piece of spruce, and the back and sides are beautifully finished. The grain in the wood looks neat when you hold it up to the light and the light catches it.
Reliability/Durability

I really don't play live so I really can't comment on the ability to hold up to that type of playing, but it is a very well built guitar and it should hold up to just about any type of playing. One thing it does not have and that is a strap button for the neck.

Customer support through the web site is kinda slow so be patient if you should have to contact them, but they do take good care of their customers! I was impressed.

I have not played for about ten years and this guitar made me want to play again. If I had this guitar lost or stolen I would not hessitate to replace it with another Seagull. Great to own something so well made. Great guitar for the money!
